Why aren’t you even able to have this fruit? Why are you going to the gym again? Why are you wearing that? Why are you posing in the gym? Why do you have to show your butt? Why do you take that? Why don’t you just rest? Why don’t you just try this? Why does xyz matter? WHY WHY WHYYYYY Some people don’t understand, some people don’t want to understand, and some people are genuinely just curious Regardless though, as athletes I believe we need to represent the sport of bodybuilding in a positive light And as people, I believe we need to represent and speak of ourselves and our choices in a positive light Let what we do and what we choose to do inspire and motivate others to choose to follow THEIR passions and put THEIR goals at the forefront of their mind as we have Next time someone asks you WHY let’s see it as an opportunity to express our LOVE for ourselves, our sport, and even THEM! Because energy and intention and perspective make up the bulk of EVERYTHING We can then ground ourselves in positivity and love and say; THANK YOU for asking this is my why: __________ Never on the defense or offense, just being open to questions or concerns Sometimes we can learn a lot from them too! I think it’s easy to just assume it’s all bad or judge mental or coming from a negative place when really they could just want to know more On the other hand, sometimes we do have to just ignore the naysayers and do what’s best for US Because even in this sport itself other competitors and coaches will question / challenge your methods or choices and you have to be prepared to just continue doing you but also be open and humble enough to actually hear them

WOW! 😭🥰🤩 I am still on a passion high from the Build More than Just a Body LIVE event I hosted yesterday!
The love, energy, openness, & trust in the room was something else I feel so grateful & so fortunate to have the ability to share my message & mission with people I truly love & care for This is now my 2nd Live event and I gotta say, it’s something that I can’t get enough of I know it is only the beginning too Every woman in the room yesterday held space for each other & walked away with new insights and major takeaways As they set intentions for the day, focused in on what needed the most attention to move through, and developed new found love for themselves, I could feel shifts happening The best part about these live events is that we form bonds & find ways we all really connect & relate I finally got to meet some amazing women after being connected online for so long & reconnect w/ others I felt so overwhelmed with joy when I found at a client of mine & her sweet family were coming to the event all the way from CANADA It didn’t feel real until they walked in the doors. Brittany was a client of mine & someone I truly cherish & adore so finally meeting in person was so special for me Everyone in the room invested their day into personal growth & development & I have no doubt they’ll see a return more than 10x I got to spend the weekend with some really awesome girls & guiding them through the exercises, action steps, & tools that I know are game changers was really rewarding We laughed, cried, got tangled in a big knot (lol fail), guided each other through obstacles (literally & figuratively), & most of all we walked away as a group knowing none of us are alone in any of this! Putting into words the gratitude and pride & complete fulfillment I am feeling is nearly impossible as it is indescribable & only felt through energy and emotion Thank you girls for coming out, cheers to many more life changing events for women who know that improving their relationship with their body, food, & their goals is an act of self-love worth taking every day🧠❤️ ![]() Creating space can be more powerful than always doing doing doing Sometimes we’ve done all that we need to do but we have left no room in our lives for what we have worked for to come through You know when you walk up to an elevator and the door opens as though it’s ready to receive you but it’s jam packed with people so you can’t even get in? The elevator’s missing function is knowing how much space there actually is to do it’s one job So you, the one thing the elevator “wants” to transport, can’t get on yet You may end up waiting and jumping on or you’ll take the stairs afterall Then the elevator comes back like “wait where’d you go?” You can’t expect opportunities or success or people to come into your life when you aren’t prepared to receive those things Creating space might look like clearing a shelf for new trophies, donating old clothing, setting boundaries with people in your life currently, letting go of something you’ve been holding onto but is ultimately not serving you All of this is a way of saying, “ok I’m finally ready to receive and I have the space to do so” Maybe it’s clearing a small space in a drawer for a future relationship or depositing money in the bank so your wallet is ready to take in more or it could be quitting a job to allow for more time in your business or with family or it could be taking things off your to do list and delegating so you have more creative space Regardless of what it looks like, creating space can help you feel open and able to receive a new reality! Determine if it is emotionally or physiologically driven Craving something & trying to figure out how to curb it or satisfy it is not as important as knowing where it’s coming from I want to preface this by saying I’m a big believer in satisfying our cravings & believe there’s a reason our body is asking us for things so dramatically BUT I also am well versed in the brains role in a craving & know it isn’t as simple as “want chocolate, have chocolate” I’ll share a personal example that I shared with a client yesterday who asked (& inspired this post) When I was a kid, my mom would always make hot chocolate & we’d put saltine crackers in it (so good don’t judge) This was sooo comforting to me This is what I usually crave when there’s an emotional void in my life But not due to any sort of deficiency in magnesium, sodium, or carbs Usually it’s when I’m feeling the need for more love, downtime, family time, & peace Because that’s what it brought me as a kid So when I became aware of what I was ACTUALLY craving, I found other ways to satisfy it On the other hand, I have physiological cravings too! I’m not gunna pretend like I’m perfect & never deal with it On lower carb days I get hyper focused on carbs but I KNOW (thank you psychology degree & deep passion for understanding disordered eating behaviors) that it’s coming from scarcity which leads to fixation Just like when there’s a scarcity of money in someone’s life they fixate on how to scrape by or make more Seeing it this way makes it feel tangible & controllable Sometimes I realize I’ve been slacking with my vitamins or haven’t had a diet change in a bit so I might make some substitutions in my plan & make it work Sometimes it’s hard to pinpoint a craving’s origin, but most of the times you can ask is this an emotional or a physical void? Our body & brain work together to maintain homeostasis So when you’re in a controlled starvation like prep or you follow a strict diet, cravings are pretty much unavoidable But when you have the MINDSET to move through them, you’ll come out on top BUILD MORE THAN JUST A BODY ![]() Benefit to waking up early for the gym: matching the sunrise 😜👀 Feeling so good after killin my high rep upper body day and cardio today Crazy to see my body changing so fast now! Being 10.5 weeks out is wild to me This year I have so much in store; •My event this weekend •My second quarter of my masters program starting •Competing •Visiting Colorado Springs •Going to my first Residency •Stepping on stage more (Gotta figure this one out with the residency being right smack before some of the shows I was lookin at but my @teamedge1 will know best!) That’s just to name some of it!! And I’m soooo grateful for all of it! Life is so beautiful and always moving without us so let’s capitalize on and seize every day in a way that aligns with our core values and goals When I get “overwhelmed” I get excited because overwhelm is a sign that we need an identity upgrade I am always choosing new upper limits for my mindset because I am always growing- WE ARE ALL ALWAYS GROWING Lately waking up earlier that i has been has been my choice for capitalizing on my time in the day balancing all my business work & clients and school and prep life How blessed am I to be doing all those freedom giving things!! I’d love to know😍 Ps I loved reading your guys replies to my Instagram story yesterday about how you’re prioritizing yourself! ![]() I wake up every day on a mission and if I can accomplish that mission every day in some way, I have even more of a reason to be happy Sometimes I fear coming across as too ‘in your face’ about the importance of psychology and personal development in becoming your absolute best self especially as a competitor But then again, I have always felt this nudge within me, this question that burns in my mind daily that eats at me when I try to hold myself back “BUT WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T?!” And that always motivates me into action. The pain I am here to help others move through is far greater than the pain of me seeming “too in your face” I don’t take what I do lightly, therefore it matters, therefore I’m going to take a stand for it Because of the breakthroughs I’ve facilitated with my processes, knowledge, support, and attention to detail; I know that my work works, simple as that I also know it would be a huge disservice not to share it with others When I think of the people who wake up self-loathing, with an unhealthy relationship with food and their body and their goals, or people who are stopped from achieving more greatness because of limiting beliefs and experiences from their past that need to be worked through, I GET FIRED UP I have a solution, a process, a method, a madness, a whatever you want to call it, that UNDENIABLY helps people WHY WOULD I HOLD THAT BACK IF IT ALIGNS WITH MY DEEP DESIRE TO ERADICATE SELF-LOATHE?! You Don’t have to take my word for it 🤷🏻♀️❤️ I have a bunch of testimonials from our members who have experienced a difference in their prep & improvement season because of this platform on the sign up page The proof is in the pudding Click HERE to learn more and see the bonuses you get when you join ![]() It’s funny because I was gunna follow this photo up with some elaborate caption about harming yourself or others but honestly, everyone’s always gunna have an opinion about what you’re doing and if it’s “good” or not Just mind your own business and pay attention to your intentions behind your lifestyle Don’t worry about what other people are doing if you don’t want them worrying about what you’re doing If we just approach conversations openly and with consideration for the other persons needs, passions, and feelings we would have more loving outcomes You can’t stop someone from feeling weird about you pulling out Tupperware at a party but you also can’t be hating on someone who doesn’t It’s just not conducive to supporting others in having positive relationships with food or their body Be inquisitive but be respectful And if someone isn’t respectful of you, set a boundary that helps them better understand how to approach you There are ABSOLUTELY extreme cases where I’d say you FOR SURE should be worried about how someone is living their life but that’s not what this post is for I’m talking on a regular day to day basis, it’s not worth anyone’s time or energy Just focus on your own goals and being loving and supportive to others If someone’s trying to improve themselves and it’s coming from a positive place then what’s it to ya? Just because we act as mirrors to one another doesn’t mean we need to take those triggers out on each other oh, and if you do feel a bit triggered by someone’s lifestyle take it upon yourself to ask where that may be coming from as it pertains to you and your chosen lifestyle Alright touchy subject rant over, happy Friday ❤️😊 ![]() Eat your asparagus and stop complaining Every time you complain with things like; “oh prep is so hard” or “I can’t believe what I have to do on this prep” Then the more you condition yourself to dislike it or not be motivated by it But when you have a positive outlook on every aspect of the process you will be more inspired by it So when it comes time to cook your meals or run the sprint or eat another piece of fish or whatever it is you have to eat, make sure your mindset is CELEBRATING that decision If you look at some of the most successful athletes in the sport, you are going to see a pattern They embrace & love the lifestyle & rarely complain about how hard prep is or how much they hate the improvement season Sure they have their tough days like all of us But most of these people just continue without constant complaints because they genuinely LOVE it & LOVE what the challenges & wins bring to their life This helps their mindset support them in the continuous pursuit of their goals which are ONLY possible to achieve with the process they are committing to every day! If the only thing you like about bodybuilding is getting on stage or the social media support, you aren’t going to go as far! In order to bring your best to the stage you have to be willing to go all in with the process & you can’t do that if you don’t actually like it You might think it “doesn’t matter” but your mind WILL create an aversion to what you need to do because it associates it with negativity (all sorts of chemical releases that the body doesn’t love!) So before you complain about this sport that you chose to do & GET to do... Think about;

Many of the people I work with express to me things like: “That’s just how I’ve always been” “I am a __ so I could never __” “Everyone in my family is like this, we are just made this way” “I’m always going to be __” But this language sends messages to our mind, reaffirming that we are comfortable & fine with where we are (even if we say and acknowledge we want to change our reality) Your identity is so powerful and will literally dictate the majority of your emotions and be the root of the majority of your pains When we constantly affirm to ourselves that we do not have the choice, and therefore the freedom, to change then we are constantly affirming that we don’t need to try because we conclude that it’s just not possible to change And even if others have changed, it’s not possible for you because that’s just how you’ve “always been” right? Interesting how we create belief patterns that support us in staying comfortable so we don’t challenge our homeostasis with things like personal development or mindset work “ahhh no I’m afraid of the dark”-our minds when we try to confront our own limitations & demons So when we use language that affirms that we are making choices for everything we are & all that we do, we are essentially retraining our mind to be comfortable with the concept of change because we have given ourselves the freedom to pursue it So, do you have something you ALWAYS identify with that could be holding you back?
