![]() Nothing feels better to me than waking up with a fire in my soul & going to bed with pride as well as excitement for the next day I live a busy life, with many commitments to myself & others, plus I am constantly seeking more ways to serve, show up, & fulfill my values Sometimes that can be overwhelming But by remaining present, I am able to persist because I can tap further into my driving forces and see the reason to keep going! I often ask myself, “What happens if I don’t___” as a way to show myself the absolute importance of doing something Sometimes though, the answer is not so groundbreaking & I realize taking a step back would actually be okay & more beneficial It’s important to me that I do things in a fulfilling way that aligns with the purpose of doing it, otherwise it’s not as meaningful So if something needs to be done but I’m not feeling it, I always remind myself why it matters If it doesn’t NEED to be done right away, then I don’t like to force myself to do it Like sending an email when I’m dead tied would not help the end goal nor would it be a representation of my commitment to my work or the person I want to serve But to that point... . I don’t just post to post or send a message to send it I don’t just go on runs or workout because it’s on my plan I find more MEANING to attribute to the things I do because that’s what drives me to continuously show up for myself The things I do are valuable to me which makes them more important even when I have those moments where I am dragging my feet Often times doing the things I don’t want to do, because I said I would do them, is just as important—to show myself I uphold personal commitments There seems to be a fine line between going through the motions & really being present with something I realize that it’s so often not the things we face, seek, or commit to & feel overwhelm us that are the problem but it’s more so our perspective around them as well as the identity we bring out from within ourselves to go about doing them Do you feel that you’re more motivated or could be more motivated if you attribute more deep rooted meaning to the things you do? Let me know👇🏻💆🏻♀️🧠

![]() Having an unhealthy relationship with food is exhausting, distracting, & detrimental to our goals, ESPECIALLY long-term! Most of the time, we‘re told by others (or ourselves) to “just” get it together You wouldn’t tell someone to “just be happier” or “just get over it!” So why treat mental health struggles that relate to physical health & aesthetics differently? We‘ve been conditioned to believe that the reason people fail themselves is not due to emotional voids, negative experiences of the past, body loathing, dieter mentality, judgement, incongruency, cognitive distortions, or other precursors to food related issues But because they “have no discipline, willpower, self control, etc” If it were all about that, then competitors & fitness enthusiasts would never struggle, yet they often struggle the most (& behind closed doors!!) Then the silent killing of these issues continues, yet most people with them either don’t know they have them, don’t speak up, have been given other forms of disordered eating to “fix” it, or believe they‘re a lost cause which can lead to comorbidity with other serious mental illness like depression & anxiety While strengthening discipline is possible & proven to be helpful, it’s not the end all be all Otherwise all that stuff would‘ve worked by now Our behaviors are not driven by single variables Not just beliefs, thoughts, stories, habits, reinforcements, experiences, environment, goals, values, identity...rather a combination of it all The problem is people try to address what‘s happening beneath the surface with surface level solutions (New diet, more restriction, punishment, distraction...) Then it doesn’t work, or maybe it works for a little while, then suddenly you’re back at square one wondering “what! why can’t I get over this?!” If the underlying issue is never resolved the cycle will remain a cycle & usually become more viscous Getting ahead of it needs to be a top priority to achieve & sustain results & most of all for your mental health, & life experience Click HERE to learn more about & apply for my Food Relationship Healing & Discovery Coaching program where I work 1:1 with you using my signature PTG process so you can finally make peace with food, your body, & your goals! ![]() Consciously choosing what you fuel yourself with sends the signal to your body that you have her best interest at heart! This doesn’t mean you restrict all the processed sugars & forbid yourself from times of the day to eat, macronutrient groups, or foods as a whole It just means when you choose to eat, turn autopilot mode OFF & consciousness ON Tune into your body to really connect with her almost as though she is another entity altogether
The next diet or plan may work, but in the long run, it’s between you & your body; info that numbers, macros, scales, & plans can’t tell you As a competitor myself, I am very diligent with my nutrition & follow a plan But I no longer fear food, binge, punish myself, or over restrict I nourish myself because I love my body I eat the way I eat because I honor my goals enough to do so I remain conscious in my choices because my body deserves that, even when “I know what works best for me” because I believe there’s always more to learn I set intentions for meals, consider my decisions, & reflect on my choices because just following a plan isn’t good enough for me How Developing A Healthy Relationship With Food Helped These Competitors Face Quarantine With Ease4/26/2020

I truly believe that in order to have successful and fulfilling improvement seasons and preps, we have to prioritize our mindset Yesterday I was thinking about how freeing it is to know I could continue this lifestyle for years and years to come Not through sheer grit, determination, or perseverance But because I’ve found a way to make it work for me & my needs I released judgement around my own approaches and I have had so many trials and error It’s crazy to me too because so many competitors go from killing their prep to then rebounding, dealing with hidden food issues that surface, and absolutely hating their body I’ve been there myself!! But what saved me and has ultimately led to the success I’m experiencing now, is mindset I healed my relationship with food and I consciously keep it at top of my awareness every day I learned to truly love and appreciate my body I worked through conditioning, self sabotage, and limiting beliefs that were all wreaking havoc on my mind I had to make myself a priority while detaching from the way it impacted my physical body I had to test my relationship with foods I feared, would binge on, would associate with being triggers, and would judge myself (and others) for eating I had to face my body every day and fight for my peace of mind by consciously choosing to rewire my thoughts and emotions around my body I spent hours and hours on end doing mindset work, working with mentors, therapists, healers, studying psychology, and investing in my personal growth and continue to spend time doing this I had to commit to applying what I knew I needed AND what others guided me to I couldn’t just let myself accept “oh it’s normal to rebound post show” or “its normal to freak out over the scale” or “its normal to not really like your body in the improvement season or the deepest parts of prep” or “its normal to stress over every single thing you eat and feel bad about some of it and then punish yourself” or whatever else we have labeled normal which really should be considered detrimental and a HUGE hinderance to success as an athlete With my competitive mindset I knew that to give more and rise above then I had to become more I don’t half ass any of my diets. I’ve never even cheated on my prep plan. I’ve never missed a workout unless I was told by my coach to do so because I finally admitted to feeling ill, I’ve never put things on the back burner that matter I also have been able to shift my perspective, expectations and needs for improvement seasons or reverse diets based in self-love and personal needs I am now sustaining and continuing to progress because I developed the patience and worked on my mind I have no doubt that I’m heading in the right direction because of my mindset If you’re struggling with your relationship with food, that won’t just go away. It is arguably more important than any plan you’re given especially when it impacts your adherence, commitment, and enjoyment If you’re struggling with your relationship with your body, that won’t help you bring your best. It’s arguably more important than any workout plan especially considering when you love yourself and your body you can push yourself more because you value yourself enough to take it to the next level, recover,& celebrate any wins! If you’re struggling with limiting beliefs, negative habits, and a constant running narrative that brings you down, then accountability, a “you got this ” or “just get back on plan” isn’t going to make a real difference in your struggles These things are fleeting. Your mindset is the number one variable for long term success, especially in a sport like this This is why I developed my expertise and services to support competitors in the common struggles they face You can reach out to learn more and work with me in my 1:1 food relationship healing & dicovery coaching program You can also join the on-demand mindset coaching platform for competitors for instant access and guidance through whatever you’re struggling with If you’re post show feeling lost and experiencing those post-show blues, you can join my free program or hop right into the main 8 week program covering exactly how to get through this The work I do does not interfere or interrupt with the work you do or have done with your physique coach My work helps you capitalize on that coaching by getting your mind in alignment with the plans you’re already so invested in Feel free to contact me for more info or visit the link in my bio to learn more BUILD MORE THAN JUST A BODY ![]() There is no doubting that discipline is necessary in creating and sustaining results for any area of our life. Whether it is competition prep, reverse dieting, health, mental wellness, food relationship, human relationships, work, business, school...it all requires us to tap into a level of commitment to ourselves to make leveling up possible! A lot of people though, don't just have a lack of discipline but they have a lack of trust in themselves! Failure after failure can leave you feeling like a lost cause or like you just aren't capable which then can lead to a waning in the desire to practice discipline or honor yourself through discipline. I developed this 1-2-3 Method to help my clients build up their belief in their abilities so they can trust themselves more in situations where their discipline has been tested and so they can tap into the energy of commitment every day. The goal with this method is not to specifically address the problem, though I did cover that in the free workshop I hosted a few weeks ago where I debuted this method outside of my private clientele, the goal is to build up your ability to be disciplined, to trust yourself that you can be, and to help you reinforce the act of commitment. Part 1: Set one non-negotiable for yourself to accomplish every day. If you say you are going to do something, do it. And you absolutely may not go to bed until it is done. Having a non-negotiable such as make the bed, clean up anything I see on the floor as soon as I see it, or turn my phone off for 5 minutes gives you the opportunity to make a smaller commitment to yourself and flex your discipline muscles. Our daily disciplines lead to the fulfillment of our more necessary big picture disciplines. Part 2: Doubting yourself comes with the territory of being human and choosing to embark on a growth journey. Take the time to recognize / identify 2 ways you have proven to yourself that you are capable of achieving things you set out to achieve. It could be as simple as reflecting on when you finally were able to tie your shoe by yourself or as recent as this morning when you jumped out of bed right when the alarm went off which you never really thought you would be able to do. Whatever it is, be specific and take a moment to get into the energy of celebration and recognition. Use that energy of 'I actually can' to drive your next choice for yourself. Part 3: This may be my favorite part, ok, it is! But it is not anymore or less important than the others. Although, I will argue that it can be the most resistance generating as it requires you to actually implement the work and create new habits!! Choose 3 new habits to commit to each day. Spread them out over morning, afternoon, and evening and base it on the question of "What does the next level version of myself do, think about, focus on or take care of at this time?". These habits need to be rooted in your next level self to start bringing this 'future' reality into the present AND to open you up to the belief that you can commit to a new lifestyle, new choices, and new behaviors. I break all of this down and provide even more examples in that free workshop I mentioned earlier. The workshop was all about overcoming mindless snacking and being able to trust yourself while at home all day. However, the mindset, psychology, and personal development based tools and insights shared are pretty much applicable across the board. If you want access just visit: www.celestial.fit/snacking and you can get free and instant access to the workshop! Ready to commit to taking your mindset to the next level? BUILD MORE THAN JUST A BODY ![]() Man my heart was hurting last week It hit me so hard and all at once Standing over my oatmeal in the kitchen with a crashing wave of emotion overcoming me Everything going on, the impact, the influence, the realities for so many all over the world I’ve been so focused on the positives, the innovation, triumphs, opportunities, breakthroughs, & all these incredible things coming from this I’ve felt blessed for my life not being that different But I can celebrate these positives and get excited by them and still feel the weight of others Things hit us all differently and in their own time Some of us haven’t felt this the way others have, some haven’t felt it at all, some will feel it eventually, & some may never feel it No one is right or wrong for how they’re going through these changing times and it’s important that we remember that before pointing fingers about someone not being empathetic “enough” or considerate “enough” or in “enough” pain based on how they live or what they post, say, or do If we truly believe and accept that everyone is always going through something because we are all humans then we can feel connected in an instant But now we can feel more connected than ever because there’s a common denominator among us all Judging one another for how we “cope” only adds to the problem If you want to see a rise in empathy, compassion, care, & love then be willing to provide that before asking others to More often than not, we all could use some more love! I’ll be opening up more about where this was all coming from soon❤️ How are you hanging in? Not posting publicly for the sake of keeping it a safe & carefree space 💆🏻♀️ . Hope to see you there❤️ ![]() How do you love a body you want to change? The way you love anything! With nurturing, patience, care, and unconditional positive regard There is no need to rush or put added pressure on yourself Especially for something as serious as changing the vessel your soul experiences life through Your body is highly adaptive & can be fragile when not cared for or listened to And the best part is that when you truly love your body, you make considerations for her and set new expectations & standards to fuel her with food, thoughts, behaviors, habits, and everything else you consume or do that all support your positive change Plus, the easiest change to sustain is the change that’s necessary as well as the change you genuinely feel empowered by! The problem is so many people change from a place of self-loathe, external pressure, or under the false belief that only when the change occurs they’ll be happier This mindset causes many people to rush or pursue measures for change that are unsustainable or not enjoyable or too demanding which of course is NOT conducive to being “happier” or “more xyz” so then the cycle tends to repeats itself If we can be more loving towards ourselves & find comfort in committing to a plan for change that actually feels good for us (despite it being different than what others may be doing who have results we want) then we can generate more sustainable results long term!! So you not only can love your body when you want to change it but you must love your body to change & through change❤️🧠 Want to make peace with your body in every season & learn to love yourself & honor your needs? Or did any of these resonate or stand out to you? I’d love to hear ❤️❤️🧠🧠 ![]() We are constantly bombarded with:
Do not mistake this post for throwing health out the window or not caring about how you feel and look for yourself or your health or whatever else this could be twisted as I’m saying that the MORE we trust, honor, love, listen to, and care for our body then the MORE she responds to our efforts If we only focus on changing external factors, it’s easy for internal variables to fall by the wayside Many people then judge themselves, compare themselves, or even live in a constant state of “never enough” because instead of standards being set on nourishing & trusting the body it is set on numbers and societal driven standards or expectations influenced outside of us instead of from within You can want to change your body and want to develop a new lifestyle But the root of this change needs to come from a loving place—otherwise you will find yourself with many more internal battles to overcome I have girls who come to me saying they “wish” they could just have 1 cookie instead of 20, be able to feel at peace at a party around food, not want to run out of their house everytime they think of the food in the kitchen, trust and even have hunger cues, be able to have an intuitive meal or day without turning it into a free for all, stop emotions from driving their eating, and be able to look in the mirror and be proud or step on the scale for check ins and not instantly disregard themselves as a person, an athlete, a soul! In order to make this happen, we must work against the patterns which created their current reality It can be challenging at times and requires a conscious effort But many of them, like you, have likely been consciously working to satisfy other external standards or expectations or patterns Trust me, if you created the reality you’re currently living in and not loving or feeling empowered by, then you can create one that you love to live in and feel empowered by Need support with your relationship with food, your body, and or your goals?
