![]() When we eat, we show our souls how well we listen, how much we care, and how committed we are to act in love for the vehicle which houses our soul. This might seem extreme, but I am definitely not going to sugar coat this for you. You might be wondering why it can be so hard to get your nutrition right or ‘stay on track’, so, let’s talk about it. I am going to remind you of a LOT of what you KNOW before introducing you to some things you may not have considered yet so stick with me if you are serious about getting results in your health and fitness. When you love yourself on a deep, soul level, you actually make decisions for your body which are rooted in love. You cannot achieve the body you want by treating your body like you don’t want it. Crazy thought? I mean, even if you didn’t care about the physical aesthetics of your body and you only focused on health, you still couldn’t achieve a healthy body by treating it unhealthily. What you put in IS what you get out. Cheesy as it sounds, let’s put this in perspective. Your body is literally this miracle life form which houses your amazing and unique soul. When you feed your body food you are essentially feeding your soul. Unhealthy food going in = not so great performance/function Unhealthy thoughts = not so great moods, decisions, actions, beliefs, etc. Unhealthy treatment = Unhealthy relationship Healthy food goint in = great performance/function Healthy thoughts = better moods, decisions, actions, beliefs, etc. Healthy treatment = healthy relationship. This is BASIC. I know. But, if it was so simple, why do so many people fail to truly embody this way of life and LIVE it? Fad diets. Crash Diets. Binge Patterns. Fasting. Starving. Restriction. Pain. Imbalance. Malnutrition. Over Eating. Emotional Eating. On the Go Eating. Distracted Eating. Unconscious Eating. Mindless Eating. THESE are our realities. Whether or not you fit the bill of all or one you can probably relate. We fill our minds with questions of what is best to SHAPE our body rather than what is best to FUEL and SUPPORT our body. We focus on how to achieve a LOOK versus how to achieve a FUNCTION. There is nothing wrong with seeking aesthetic changes, but this is a BIG problem when it gets in the way of our health. Many have forgotten to just LISTEN, HONOR, and LOVE our souls by listening to our bodies and love our bodies by honoring our souls. We are meant to be consciously aware of our needs as a human being seeking optimal survival. We are meant to get back in touch with our ‘wild’ side. To learn more and register click HERE We start on the 1st! ![]() If you told me in 2013 that I would run a course on food freedom that would literally change people's lives forever I never would've believed you because I was suffering in the confines of food feeling suffocated and healthy all at once. How is that even possible? I forced myself to eat so healthy that I would only look forward to "cheat meals" on the weekend which was more like me prepping for a binge all week. I would throw down food like a mad woman to the point I wouldn't even taste it after the first bite. I thought this was how healthy people live. I saw all the fit people on instagram doing it so it must be right. I read blogs on it so you can't argue with that. I was coached to do that so it's gotta be the way. If only I knew then what I know now, I would have found my freedom so much sooner. I wouldn't have fallen for the scary binge patterns or developed fear of foods I loved or missed out on amazing times of life because I couldn't even afford a bite in my plan because I had twisted beliefs of what a single bite could do to me physically and emotionally be it send me into a fiend of eating or add tons of fat to my body. This wasn't will power, or discipline, or any of what it appeared to be on the outside. It was fear, doubt, and confusion manifested into a sad form of eating habits that although seemingly healthy were shamefully, not. I was putting myself in this perpetual cycle of restriction restriction binge. I didn't know it until only almost a year ago or so. It took a lot of internal work, healing, discover, trial and error, research, reading, behavior change modification, comfort zone expanding, belief shifting, and self love to address the unhealthy relationship I had with food. It doesn't have to be painful. It doesn't have to be difficult. True fitness and health shouldn't be restriction and food monitoring and anxiety from meal to meal or around certain foods or fear of gaining fat or not gaining muscle. It's always about Building More than Just a body. Your body is BUILT to perform at an optimal level and wants nothing less than to be an amazing vehicle for your soul. It's important that we treat it as such. It is possible to find food freedom AND achieve a healthy lifestyle. It is possible to make healthy choices AND enjoy treats. It is possible to feel calm and peaceful around foods. But you must go within, get in touch with that beautiful soul of yours, and focus on the depth of which you go; So much further than surface level... In life there are so many things that we look to make healthy; 💸 Bank account 📈Business 💃🏻Social Life 👯Relationships 🏃🏻♀️Body 🙆🏻Mind If I have learned anything in my journey through fitness it's that: when my body became healthy I found where my mind was unhealthy when my mind was healthy I found where my relationships were unhealthy when my relationships were healthy I found where my social life was unhealthy when my social life was healthy I found where my business was unhealthy when I found where my business was healthy I found where my bank account was unhealthy and then how I could make it healthy. Having a healthy body and mind allows me find where things need improvement And I am then able to find solutions to create health. If you can find health in your business, you can find it in your body. If you can find health in your body, you can find health anywhere. It's not a matter of one thing dominating your life and being your only focus. A fulfilling life, in my eyes, is one which complements and fuels it's own growth through enjoyment, balance, love, energy, service, light, and passion. Health is fulfillment. When we find health, we can find all things. Health opens doors. Health creates space. Health sheds light in dark places. Health manifests and expands the more we focus on it (like all things). So, if one area of your life is healthy, I promise you are capable of finding health in the areas of your life you seek improvement. If you feel at a loss with your whole life begin creating a balanced routine that allows you to embrace and focus on developing a healthier lifestyle. One where your mind aligns with your body, business, relationships, social life, bank account, and every aspect you can imagine. Start within and it will expand externally. If even for one second you felt a desire or a need to change something in your life, act on it because it is a sign that it's time for you to grow and to uplevel. Balance is no joke, balance is fulfilling and empowering. It IS possible to find health and the balance of health in all areas of your life. I was at the gym finishing up my workout with my cardio (30 minutes) I decided to watch one of my fav bikini competitors Narmin Assria IFBB Bikini Pro YouTube Vlogs of her winning in salt lake to go to the Olympia for the 7th consecutive year (seriously, if you're not familiar with the sport that is HUGE). Anyways, I remember at my first show it was in conjunction with an IFBB pro show and she was competing and her stage presence and physique is so amazing. As I was watching the vlog I was noting the way the girls walked the stage, carried themselves, and the full hearted faith she had in knowing she would take the win. It got me thinking about the power of I am statements and identity work, something I focus on daily as part of my Building More than Just a Body mission. When I was doing cardio tonight I asked myself "what would the pro version of me do right here and now?" I turned it up a notch. Then I was about to leave without posing and asked myself again, "what would the pro version of me do right now?" I was exhausted, fatigued, and sweaty as eff so putting on heels and a smile and posing seemed to be the last thing but it is the ONE thing I need to work on most. So of course, I did it. The point is, when we ask ourselves the right questions and we answer them with action the results speak for themselves. The next level version of you is already within you, you just have to be willing to dig deeper and bring this version of you to your consistent and conscious reality. Ask yourself, "What would my next level version of me be doing right now?" Or "if I already achieved everything I am after right now what would I be doing?" THEN DO THAT. TAKE THAT ACTION. You ARE capable. If you even thought for a second you wanted to be better than you should know you 100% can. As someone looking to make a massive impact on the world I am inspired by people like this because there's so much energy that goes into it and the more one cares the more energy there seems to be put in which is highly relative to how I feel. So when I was asked if I find the 'rags to riches' fame or the 'has millions and could therefore fund and continue to make more' fame I explained that what inspires me is the turning of a thought into action, dreams to reality, ideas to things. It's the unique beauty within all of us to create that I find to be so inspiring when it is pursued relentlessly.
