This is hard for me to share...
I have been feeling a bit misunderstood. My limiting belief has been eating away at me that who am I to preach about self love, food freedom, body image, and living a healthy, freeing, and fulfilling lifestyle if I’m over here competing in a sport that requires me to restrict, train for hours on end, and then get judged based on my body shape which is not even a shape that is healthy or achievable for long periods of time??
I like to think my message and mission is clear that I am here to help others to build more than just a body...but sometimes I can’t help but think people don’t believe me or I don’t represent my message because To them I seem to not be living a lifestyle of flexibility and freedom.
When I did my first show I did it for surface level reasons. Now? I compete for reasons beyond that.
I took a few years to heal my unhealthy relationship with food, my body dysmorphia/image issues, and mindset.
I’ve invested time, energy, and over $25k into personal development, learning, mentorship, and more.
I had no choice but to use myself as a guinea pig to make it in healing I tested self love strategies, I developed self care rituals, I went so deep that I am not giving this to so many people worldwide who are truly benefiting from it and that’s an amazing feeling.
I have become a professional in fitness as a certified personal trainer with an Associates degree in clinical nutrition and dietetics and am now a student of psychology while also going through different mindset coaching courses, learning to run my own business while helping others do the same, and so much more.
I personally know I am living my best life pursuing my goals and showing my body love and taking the action steps necessary to achieve those goals.
To me turning down a bite of cake isn’t restriction, it’s a conscious choice but I can see where there can be a disconnect with my mission and message which scares me.
I love who I am and I love what I do and I want nothing more than to eradicate self loathe and help others build more than just a body.
Despite the perception of the lifestyle I live, I practice what I preach in my own way and in the way that feels best for me and fulfills my passions. And YOU CAN LIVE AND ENJOY A HEALTHY LIFE TOO.
I want everyone to love themselves so much that they naturally feel inspired to fuel and move their bodies in ways that not only make them feel good but also move them toward achieving their goals.

Angela went through a lot during our time together. She unfortunately sprained her ankle right at the beginning of the program which called for modification but she is an athlete and we worked through it.

I’ve been reminiscing EXTRA on past show day photos to get into the energy of COMPETING.
This prep has been different than all the others but in such a good way and I am truly loving it.
The most important things I can do is control the things I can control and trust the process.
Stressing about ‘being ready’ does not create a conducive environment for my body to produce the best results so I’m putting my head down and getting to work every damn day.
I love how much this year I’ve embraced and fallen in love with this lifestyle and it’s just become a part of me.
I love myself everyday because I am constantly pushing myself to be better.
Every day is a new opportunity for me to seize and I’m seizing it.
I end each day asking if I’ve given my all and I’m satisfied when I say “yes, and more”.
One way I express self love and cultivate it more is through action taking toward my goals.
I am honoring myself by taking aligned action that brings me closer to my ultimate achievements while finding joy, peace, and happiness in each moment.
If we aren’t enjoying the process, even when breaking barriers down and working through the tougher shit, then we should rethink why we are spending our energy on it.
If you’re happily living life and happily pursuing your goals then you’ll more than likely happily receive them and happily celebrate them.
“WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO YOURSELF 20 YEARS FROM NOW?”
Is a question I was asked recently in a podcast interview. Now, I challenge you to ask yourself the question too.
Often times questions like this allow us to hear exactly what we need to hear right NOW...
The advice that I would give myself (I would be 41 years old in 20 years) Would be to stop, enjoy this moment, no matter where you ended up or what you’re doing be present with yourself and honor your soul, you’re here for a reason, embrace it and love yourself without expectation.
So 41 year old me, if you’re reading this, take note 💖✨
I will never be the coach who tells you you ‘need’ to stop buying junk food, throw anything ‘bad’ away, or completely quit the sugar, carbs, fats, or whatever else you’ve been sold as the sabotaging culprit for your success.
Because, it’s not the junk food, the ‘bad’ food, the macronutrients, or things like added sugars or artificial sweeteners that’s making you sick, unhealthy, overweight, fatigued, or sluggish.
*cue every fitness industry snob rolling eyes at me and telling me I’m crazy*
IT IS YOUR CHOICE TO EAT THEM
THAT IS WHAT IS KILLING YOU SLOWLY and HINDERING YOUR PROGRESS.
No one (that I know of) died from the sugar in ONE SINGLE cookie.
No one (that i know of) ever developed a healthy relationship with food by labeling something as ‘good’ or ‘bad’ (I certainly didn’t)
No one (that I know of) gained an excessive amount of fat from having a couple slices of, dare I say, WHITE toast one day.
Here’s the thing...we are an animal species but we ARE humans which separates us from the animals living in the wild.
We have emotions, we have different processing systems in our brains, we have different needs that make us want food differently.
A wild animal doesn’t wake up and think “mmm that chicken looks so yummy I’m going to pair it with the farmers corn I stole last week and then mix a delicious salad with some veggies from the garden because it will be so refreshing and a great course of meals for our tribe meeting tonight” (not that i know of anyways).
But we do.
We think like that.
We don’t just eat food for fuel. (As much as we’d like to be able to or convince ourselves we can).
If we only ate food for fuel it takes out the human aspect of eating.
Where am I going with this?
How does this relate to cookies and ‘junk’ food?
Welllllll, I am sad I’m the one who has to break this to you but, someone’s got to do it!
You are allowed to enjoy foods.
You are allowed to see all foods for what they are without labels you think you ‘should’ have for them.
You should NOT be throwing away foods because you are....
...”afraid that I’ll eat all of them”
...”worried I won’t be able to stop myself”
...”fearful that it will make me fat”
...”on a diet”
THIS IS AN OBVIOUS SIGN OF FEAR.
And as your coach, I won’t let fear be the reason you throw away foods, restrict yourself, or decide that something is ‘good’ or ‘bad.
Fear of gaining weight or getting fat?—we need to address this.
Fear of binging?—we need to address this.
Fear of not gaining weight?—we need to address this.
Fear of late night snacking?—we need to address this.
Fear of not achieving the goals you set?—we need to address this too.
Believe it or not, fear is a natural response by the brain to protect us (yay!!!) but anxiety is a GREATER form of fear over unusual things that naturally (in an animal species way) wouldn’t cause us fear for our life and yet we experience this greater fear as though it will destroy us!
Which can lead you to doing crazy things like starting fad diets, throwing out all the ‘junk’, and judging yourself for every bite of food you take.
Here’s what I’m getting at...
If you want to throw away the ‘junk’ food, DO IT!
But not because you are afraid of ruining your diet, getting fat, or binging on it.
DO IT BECAUSE YOU LOVE YOURSELF AND FEEL NATURALLY INSPIRED TO STOP EATING THE FOODS THAT MAKE YOU FEEL LIKE CRAP.
For me, a crap food is broccoli—yo girl can’t be eatin that nutrient dense tree, it just doesn’t sit well🤷🏻♀️🥦🙅🏻♀️
To give perspective, one (even 4 but i don’t bother with that as much) cookie doesn’t bother my stomach or make me feel super crappy, so I can keep some in the house and indulge in one and call it a day without fear of binging on them (like I used to) because I’ve addressed the deeper issue... and I just choose not to eat cookies daily because:
1. They are not conducive to my goals which align deep to my soul.
2. They are so much less nutrient dense than what my body needs and I always feel more inspired to give my body rich, nutritious foods over something like this. (Even though they taste good) because I have recognized my needs as an athlete and a coach but more importantly a soul showing up in the highest version of myself (also why I can’t do the broccoli thing).
3. I haven’t labeled them as good or bad, they just are, so by taking away the preconception I have freed myself from the constructs that normally would lead me to feel restricted.
I have had many new clients tell me they are going to start throwing everything ‘unhealthy’ away ‘before we start’
And when I ask them why, it’s never hear: “I just love my body way too much to eat the things that make me vibe at lower frequencies, feel like crap inside and out, hinder my abilities to show my body the best love through great workouts, and keep me from feeling inspired or ALIVE!”
And so, that’s when I put my Coaching hat on and we move through the blocks, subconscious beliefs, learned behaviors and thoughts, fears, scarcity, and doubts so that they can feel freedom around food and be near a box of cookies without feeling like they will eat them all! I help them to cultivate deep, great, empowering self love that NATURALLY INSPIRES THEM TO CARE FOR THEIR BODIES!
I even told a client to buy cookies just to put in her house and LEARN her body, LEARN her cravings and where they are *actually* coming from, AND for a type of exposure therapy. WE CANNOT RUN FROM OUR FEARS, if we do that then when we go back, THEY ARE STILL THERE WAITING TO SCARE US!
There is no fad/quick diet that can teach you to love yourself.
There is no food that can make you fat instantly on first bite.
There is no food rule that can make you feel free and comfortable around all foods.
There is no long term lifestyle gain or benefit when you live in fear, restriction, doubt, scarcity, and other self loathing patterns.
You can achieve your goals while still enjoying foods.
You can become inspired to fuel your body with the foods that genuinely support you in your goals and as a soul having a human experience without diets and restriction.
You can LOVE yourself enough to recognize the self loathing/dieter mentality patterns that are HINDERING, DEMONIZING, and RESTRICTING you and do something about them.
Do you want to live a life feeling free in your body?
Do you want to be able to say YES and NO to foods based on how they make you feel and NOT on what you’ve been conditioned to believe/say?
Do you want to be able to enjoy foods while still providing your soul with an optimized home to live in?
Do you want to be able to achieve your fat loss, muscle gain, healthy, fulfilling, and freeing lifestyle without being wrapped up in points, numbers, stats, tracking or food in general?
Do you want to feel NATURALLY INSPIRED to move your body, fuel your body, and treat your body in ways that help you achieve your goals?

Opening up a side of me I have never shared, but a side which taught me a VERY valuable lesson I hold to this day...
2 years ago I realized that I would become very judgmental, skeptical, or over anxious based on the outcomes from other people’s actions not meeting my exceedingly high expectations that I never even bothered to share with them in the first place.
I would lose patience when I hired someone to work for me and it wouldn’t be done in x time or with x precision. I was quite demanding and quick to let someone go if they didn’t satisfy me, no second chances.
I wasn’t an asshole though, in fact, I was a big push over. I’d silently be upset that a need of mine wasn’t met and then I would just never hire them again, I’d tell them I was not satisfied, or I would shrug it off.
I also had a pattern and tendency to hold grudges in friendships and relationships.
It wasn’t until I felt myself constantly feeling inadequate And looked down upon even when i was doing my best because I wasn’t meeting MY OWN expectations, so it’s no wonder I would become anxious if other people’s behaviors weren’t exactly what I hoped for.
But It hit me that for every time I was let down, hurt, disappointed, or a secret expectation of mine wasn’t met, I was wasting my energy being upset and I wasn’t giving myself or others room to breathe, expand or grow.
Then I saw this surfacing more and more in my relationship with myself (i was projecting my own inadequacy on others clearly).
Totally unforgiving, totally demanding, and expectations that were quite unrealistic.
I asked myself, what defines my success, what would make me feel proud of my efforts?
And it comes down to if I know I have given my best every day with everything I have available to me then I feel most aligned and proud of myself.
I began to realize, I always did the best i could with what I was given. I NEVER intentionally sought failure or pain or defeat. I always strived for more, I wanted to excel at all costs, I wanted to overdeliver and I always wanted to be better than the day before. (Please note these are all awesome beliefs I still have, I just had a poor mindset in the past around slip ups)
So If i had a slip up, it was never because I wanted to...
I then established this belief which helps me to release anxiety, anger, & unrealistic expectations so I can embrace more loving kindness and a deeper point of view to connect with people and myself more.
I choose to believe that nobody is out to get us...
So why do we treat people like they are?
Yes, establish boundaries.
Yes, set expectations and aim high.
Yes, stand up for what you want.
But when things don’t go to plan, before freaking out, ask yourself, did I do everything I could with what I had?
And then ask yourself, did they do everything they could with what they had.
If you’re satisfied with the answers then learn the lesson and grow from it.
If you’re not satisfied with the answer then trace your steps back and see what could have been executed better, then, start again.

LET GO of the surface level, societal driven, subconsciously wired beliefs and TUNE IN to you, your being, your soul’s deepest cravings, and FEED them with LOVING vibrations
You ARE worthy.
You ARE deserving.
And trust me...You are MORE than capable
How my Client has Dropped 3.5 Inches, 0.9% Body Fat, and Gained Muscle in the Last 2 Weeks! (without long workouts and crazy dieting)
In the last 16 days, my client completed phase one of her customized training program.
Her goal is to build more lean muscle and drop body fat. I can honestly say it’s clear that we are shifting her body composition already.
“I have stayed the same weight, but can see my body shifting and getting more toned which is the most important part”
When I read that message from her I wanted to graph her body stats which she submitted to me through my personal and private coaching app, and found:
•She has Gained 1/2 inch in shoulders and 1/2 inch in both biceps.
•Dropped 1.5 inches in waist
•Dropped 1 inch in hips and 1 from legs.
•Down 0.9% body fat
Her workouts were usually 30 minutes long but never more than an hour.
She was able to incorporate and keep the things she loved as well like yoga and running because I tailored the plan not only to her goals and her body but to her lifestyle as well!
All the workouts could be done from home to start in phase one and we incorporated resistance, HIIT, static only, and cardio never went over 20minutes.
With her nutrition we really wanted to be careful not to fall into an unhealthy relationship with food but still get her on point to achieving her goals. Especially with some internal blocks with nutrition and achieving her best shape and health that needed shifting mentally.
So I am working with her to combine a holistic and intuitive approach with education and knowledge on the best way to fuel her body for her goals. So her nutrition is not in hyper focus...but I will add she was eating a healthy diet before beginning this program as well.
These results are not uncommon for my clients. I am grateful to work with people who are serious about achieving their goals and seeing the person they know lives inside of them come out to play and be fully present in the pursuit of their best self while learning to love and appreciate who they are now.

Will it be you?
Everything manifesting physically in your life is the result of something internal within your mind.
You are a soul, living in a body. Therefore, you need to treat yourself that way and remember that you go so much deeper than surface level.
When you can’t stop eating food, ask yourself if there’s an emotional void you are trying to fill in your life.
When you keep refreshing Instagram to see if anyone’s liked or commented yet, ask yourself where you need to recognize yourself more in your life for the person you are and the things you have accomplish or stand for.
When you make excuses to workout ask yourself if there was a time in your life where you were subconsciously taught that exercise takes ‘too much time’ or is ‘too hard’ or only for ‘those athlete ppl’ (maybe your mom or dad can help you discover this one 😉)
When you make money and spend it right away ask yourself if you have resistance to actually receiving what you are worthy of; explore your self worth and the value you place on your abilities.
When you meet amazing new people or a potential significant other and you push them away when things get more serious or you grow closer to them, ask yourself where in the past you got close to someone and were burned that’s causing you to now protect yourself?
