Often times emotions even manifest in physical forms through tears, smiles, laughter, or other expressions! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Cool part of this? Even without knowing it you are absorbing, rejecting, and projecting vibrations at all time! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Want to attract POSITIVE vibes? ![]() 🤯PROVE YOURSELF WRONG👊🏼 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ okaayyyyy I have something for you guys today that can be really powerful, effective, and best of all EYE OPENING! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’m not going to try and trick you into doing this by saying something like “this quick exercise” or this “5 minute journaling session” because to be quite honest, this could take some of you MUCH more time than others and the measure of investment should not be based on the cost of time but rather the return of insight and value you gain💝 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So, you are probably very familiar with the little voice in your head that tells you what you can or cannot do based on who you are, I.E: “I can never stick to a plan” or “I am the worst when it comes to setting boundaries” etc. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Think back to a time where you accomplished something. It could be as small as tying your shoes or as big as putting yourself back out there on the dating scene. Whatever it may be, take note of it and applaud yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now, Investigate all the limiting beliefs you probably had before doing that, all the: “I’ll never be able to tie my shoes!...I won’t be able to date again after this...”. And recognize how YOU proved YOURSELF wrong! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Harness that power, feel it, and KNOW that it lives within you RIGHT NOW and is accessible at ANY moment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Okay, now consider all those little lies you repeat to yourself daily about who you are or are not...and ask yourself, “WHY have I decided that this is part of who I am?” Once you do some exploring there...make a commitment to yourself, a positive one and write it then speak it into existence. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Example of that part of exercise: I realize I always repeat that I am boring and don’t know how to talk to people, and I believe this because growing up I was always so different than everyone around me, NOW I COMMIT TO owning who I am and engaging in conversations with people to help me feel more connected to others. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you struggle with believing that these shifts ARE IN FACT POSSIBLE FOR YOU, then first make a list of all the times you ALREADY have proven yourself wrong and review it over and over and over again until you realize how frikkin amazing you are to have accomplished something even YOU didn’t believe you could. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Now imagine what kind of things you can accomplish when you CHOOSE to BELIEVE that you CAN and are already on your way to accomplishing your goals?! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Feel free to send me a pic of your journal or message me your experience after this! I CAN’T CONTAIN MY EXCITEMENT ANYMORE! I’m 8 days out from stepping on stage again… After my last show about 5 weeks ago I felt this deep nudge to do this prep without talking about it a ton or documenting it at all really, I continued to share check in photos on some weeks (if you have been following me on social media you can see this!) but never really referenced anything about them. I wanted to see what it would feel like + see what type of energy I could put into the prep, my business, & other areas of my life if I wasn’t focused on documenting prep (I can share more on my experience with this after the competition). I decided to do another show after talking to my coach We were both so happy & proud of the last physique I brought given that it was my most muscular but we both acknowledged that it wasn’t my most conditioned. We knew that I could carry the momentum into this prep & move myself further along in this journey. This’ll be my 5th show of the year/season. I decided to compete again altogether around April of 2017; since then I did a 16 week prep, 12 week reverse (on my own), then 16 weeks of prep w/ a double peak week, into about a 13 week building improvement phase (with my coach), then about a 12 week prep into my last show, & straight into prep for this show happening on Sep 1. I have really gone all in with the sport. Honestly, when I started, I just wanted to place, then when I placed I wanted to get qualified for nationals, then I started having pro card dreams & then I reflected upon this love I discovered & realized, with or w/o a card, title, or trophy, this is the sport for me. I saw more clearly that making this sport a lifestyle, embracing its seasons, & being open to learning always, is more important than anything else. This sport is teaching me patience, presence, & persistence. I’m in no rush anymore. I just want to embrace every experience of this journey for as long as I choose it, the rest will fall into place. It’s not just a #roadtopro it’s a #roadtomybest no matter what. Right now, I’m taking it show by show to see what I need, my body needs, my mind needs, & my goals require. This sport is a building and chiseling process. You build a mold then you shape it and get the detailed work done on it.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The improvement season requires growth and sometimes that means ‘fluff’ but I can honestly say I recognized it as part of the process and I’m continuously reminding myself that for the longevity and success in this sport will require me to experience many phases and commit to multiple processes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ We cannot achieve a better physique without building upon what we have made and we cannot expect to have a better body if no work was done to improve upon it. I embrace both bodies and am proud of myself in each phase because I committed to each process and the purpose it has. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Something I have found many competitors struggle with is their mindset between ‘in prep’ and ‘off/improvement season’. I’m no pro in the sport but I do know a thing or two about mindset, psychology, and personal development. It’s pertinent that you treat your in season self different than your out of season self. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you hold your improvement season self to the standards of your in prep self the likelihood is you just won’t grow or enjoy it as much. Each phase brings different requirements. You determine what those are and then set the intention that you embody the identity of the version of you required to be successful in that fulfillment. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The photos are for putting this in perspective... ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Second photo was taken May 1 2018 I was 131.2 pounds and coming out of my first real building improvement season which lasted about 13 weeks give or take. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I was 112lbs on stage at the show before I went into this building phase. First photo is me this morning, 117.9lbs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I could not be here without having been there. Often times when I consider what’s truly driving me I can’t help but think of my future with Robbie Robbins I have become much better about living in the present moment but so much of what I do is with us and our life in mind. It’s not just him who motivates me through his support and care. It’s not just that he’s been with me through the most challenging AND rewarding parts of my life. It’s not just that he is strong, funny, works hard, and has really been through so much adversity and still wakes up smiling. This morning I was blessed to be able to wake up next to him. I don’t get this everyday but today I took in the details and I found so much fire and passion in me. THIS is why I work so diligently, so we can continue to be US and spend more quality time together that truly allows us to embrace and enjoy one another. Robbie is someone who always knows what to say, always gives me insight I never even thought of, and has been my constant balancer so to speak. Today, as I sit down to provide value to the world, grow my business, and make things happen I think of us. Now the work I do is fueled in so much more love and desire. It’s so easy to get caught up in extrinsic motivations or only motivation that comes from our own past/growth. I urge you to find your drive in the little things that maybe you don’t even realize you are really showing up for everyday. On another note, to anyone who has read this far I would like to share something that robbie said to me that demonstrates how important it is to be with someone who genuinely cares about you. I asked him, do you prefer the way I look when I am this lean and leaner or when I am thicker? And he said, I prefer you when your body is actually healthy and functioning. THIS is just another example of how he balances me and supports me. He always keeps it real with me and always brings me back to what matters most to not only myself but to life when I sometimes get too caught up in the heat of life and accomplishing things... I know I’ve put you on the spot and our relationship out there just now Robbie, but I love you so damn much.❤️😭❤️ It’s incredibly hard to love your whole self if you don’t know yourself. And it’s incredibly difficult to get to know yourself without the willingness to tune in to hear and honor your souls deepest cravings and desires.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ When you love your whole self it’s not just about loving who you are or the things you do but it’s about loving yourself through the action you take. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So maybe you start saying no more, or maybe you finally go do that thing you’ve been putting off, or you reach out to new people, or you stop doing the things you know deep down you don’t like but that you have wired into your identity and therefore are afraid to stop. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Loving your whole self doesn’t just click for everyone. It’s a relationship that you’re getting into which is nearly inexplicable because to try and explain it would be to try and explain ones own consciousness. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The soul is within the body and the body contains a mind that influences this relationship. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One of my favorite things to do with my clients is have them get to know their CORE SOUL CODES then from there determine what’s necessary to satisfy those deepest values of themselves as a soul so everything they do can be in favor, honor, &/or alignment of those core soul codes. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Want me to walk you through the process?
