![]() Our bodies are our greatest resource as souls. We have been given this miracle opportunity to have a human experience Unfortunately, it seems we have not only forgotten that we are souls residing in physical bodies. But we have also forgotten our innate ability to know what we need to live in the most optimal state. Our intuition is something unique, which steers us right from wrong should we allow it too. Our instinct let’s us know what is best for us. Our system functions on its own; breath occurs on its own, our heart beats on its own, cells repair our body on their own, we don’t even have to think about it. Our body KEEPS us alive because we are MEANT to live. BUT, we have a responsibility in this. We have to fuel our bodies with food, thoughts, movement, and energy which sustains and supports the body’s purpose. When our body speaks to us, we must choose to listen. Our emotions are POWERFUL in teaching us lessons, helping us grow, and are wildly impactful in the formation of our subconscious mind which is driving our every move and controlling much of our thoughts. Plus, we don’t even realize this most of the time (hence ‘sub’conscious). We need to remember to listen, honor, and TRUST our bodies, every signal, every sign matters. For example, when something takes you out of an optimal state, you could recognize this and take note of it and do something differently. TRUSTING our body’s ability to tell us what we need, when we need it, and why it matters helps us begin to feel BETTER; not only optimizing our state of being but our journey as souls having this human experience in a physical body. Fitness is not only the way your body is shaped or looks. We are so much deeper than that and it’s time we start treating ourselves with solutions that go beyond surface level. So, you may experience stress, as we all do, but what truly determines its greatest impact on YOU and your health is YOUR PERCEPTION. Our beliefs are SO powerful and I cannot stress this enough. When we believe something is horrible, it feels much worse and even has a more negative impact on our lives. When we go all in, we allow ourselves to break limits and create new ‘normals’ for ourselves. The lifestyle I live now would not have seemed possible to the old version of me but since I’ve been giving it my all everyday, the shift has occurred where my old ‘best’ is my new ‘normal’ and my next best will one day become my best normal. Living a half ass life seems too unfulfilling and stagnant anyways. I’m here for growth so I’m giving it 110%. Big news...I have been playing with the idea of doing back to back Musclecontest shows in February, one on the 3rd in Redondo beach and one on the 10th in Vegas. Coach said it’s something we could definitely do. I’m starting my prep around November 20th so we will see if my body is ready for a early 2018 show on February 3rd. Either way, I am excited to see what’s in store over the last few months of the year and I’m ready to bring it 😎. Right now it’s about staying on my game and trusting the process. Let’s get it 🔥👏🏻💜 ![]() Little update for you guys 8 weeks post show/8 weeks reversing out. I’ve been following my prep plan in reverse and changing up the phase of my program based on how my body responds. I’m still training hard and eating very well. I eat all my prep meals because I legit love them but sometimes I’ll replace something with a protein bar or something else that fits within the macros I have calculated from my plan. I am currently sitting at 130.7lbs (I’m 5’4”) which is 9-11 pounds up from stage weight (I didn’t have a scale the day of show). My goal is not to put on a ton of muscle mass or make a ton of gains (AT THIS TIME). My goal right now is to stay conditioned while adding some lean mass so I can bring a TIGHTER package to the stage in February. I don’t feel like I’ve gained a crazy amount of fat and I feel really good about myself. My body image is healthy, my relationship with food is healthy, and I am healthy. The inner work I did between first show and this one was CRUCIAL and all the healing I did and mindset work I’ve done to start building more than just a body (as I teach my clients and membership site members) has made all the difference. I know everything I’m doing is calculated and purposeful and I trust myself and the process. I will begin my competition prep in late November because I want my coach to give me support through birthdays and holidays as I told him I want more freedom during these times and that’s also why I’m staying more conditioned NOW (yes, coaches have coaches!) I haven’t taken any time off the gym as I don’t feel I need it. There have been days where I have felt like I might but I push through and I always think that it might be a bad idea to push myself as hard as I have been but then I do it and my body is reaching NEW normals. Plus, if I wanna be better everyday I have to focus on breaking limits I’ve set for myself in my mind. And I am reminded of my pro card dreams so I have to walk the line between too much and just right. My new normal for training is what used to be REALLY REALLY hard for me. Granted, it’s still super challenging and sometimes I wanna just collapse or cry, BUT I am just stronger and better with it now. I’ve been pretty consistently drinking my gallon of water a day sometimes I go way over and some days I go under. I am enjoying food with freedom and feel great. In all honesty, my body feels like a big bruise when I eat in excess or too much off my plan (maybe inflammation, not sure?). Anyways, I will be reviewing my blood work on Monday to see what’s goin on with my lady stuff but I’m hoping it’s nothing too serious. What are you focused on now? Unfortunately, some of us don't condition our minds to think, feel, and influence us to align us with the success or life we desire. Sometimes we think "I am positive, I think happy thoughts, I am strong, I have been through a lot therefore I have a good mindset" BUT!!!! this is often times NOT the case. While you are most definitely a strong individual who should feel proud of staying positive, focusing on the happy parts of your life, and thinking about goals or focusing on what you want, this is NOT what build up a great mindset. Also, I am disappointed with the coaches who promise to help you with your mindset only tell you to set goals and check in for accountability (ok, mini one sentence rant over, back to the good stuff). Here's the thing, your mindset is both conscious and subconscious. Goal setting, happy thoughts, positivity, etc. are all CONSCIOUS choices. But what about your subconscious mind, you know, the part of you that literally has stored every single experience, thing, trauma, lesson, etc since the moment you became a life form (and some would argue in past lives) AND WE ARE NOT CONSCIOUSLY AWARE OF EVERYTHING IT HOLDS ON TO (we just don’t have that capacity consciously. Let’s be real)! Rewiring your mindset requires some digging, healing, and lots of exploration. Often times we have to shine light on some seriously DARK places. I remember when I came to the realization that I was conditioned to believe that EVERYTHING must come with great difficulty for it to be achieved or successful so my life was literally SO much harder than it had to be because I was making it to be as such, and when things came to me with EASE I REJECTED them thus closing myself off to receiving much of anything else with ease. I had to do some serious work around this and MANY subconscious beliefs (if you saw my journal the many times I discovered the detrimental and limiting subconscious beliefs that were ruling my life you would probably wonder how I was even functioning and how I even got to where I am today without falling flat on my face, oh wait no that did happen a few times:p) Anyways, many of you express interest in improving your mindset so I wanted to make it clear that while your conscious mind may be active in the pursuit of what you desire and are so called, 'aligning' with in your life, your subconscious mind is driving you and could literally be negating all of that. In order to have conscious beliefs that work with and FOR you, you HAVE to create space for them to do so which means you MUST release the subconscious beliefs holding you back. This can take a moment, it can take years, everyone is different. Approach the releasing process with an open mind and heart and set the intention that you will discover and release everything in perfect timing so that you can be exactly where you need to be. We have to focus on the 95% of ourselves that guides our life (our subconscious mind) in order to the 5% of our conscious mind to even CLICK for us. ![]() I received this text last night and my jaw dropped. CAN WE ALL JUST TAKE A MOMENT TO CELEBRATE THIS AMAZING WIN!? I will never forget the breakthrough coaching session I had with this women months ago. She was in a really bad spot and we had a LOT to discuss and move through (my favorite part of my work is facilitating these types of inner breakthroughs). Without disclosing private details, she was in a really tough spot with her life, lifestyle, body, and eating habits (or lack there of) that caused her to be very overweight, unhappy, and unhealthy.
