What’s a growing season without some new clothing that makes you feel bombbb⏳🔥?!
Part of loving your body is dressing your body in a way that helps her feel comfortable and helps you feel confident!
Stop trying to squeeze into old clothes or hide away in them
Wherever you’re at in your journey, you deserve to feel good!
I personally like to challenge myself to wear crop tops on days where I feel more Meh about my body because it helps remind me it’s about how I feel and my comfort and function more than anything! It helps remind me this body is amazing in every phase!
I’ve come to learn and appreciate the changes the body goes through season to season in this sport
While the intention is not for it to be extreme in nature, as that’s not healthy either (been there done that), it’s important to have a healthy view of yourself as your view on yourself could inform the way you perceive interactions with others, how you show up in important relationships or work, and keep you from living PRESENTLY
Your body is a gift that will serve you forever and was built to rise to unimaginable demands that others might try to limit you from pushing yourself to achieve, and your own mind serves as the “reason” but when you put the two together and utilize psychology with your physiology as well as spirituality, you can see that you really benefit most when you #BUILDMORETHANJUSTABODY

A woman can be all things but the best thing a woman can ever be is true to herself
Integrity will allow you to pursue, give, attract, and receive all that’s meant for you
While pushing and striving and going for more is important, it is second to being in a state of gratitude, faith, and openness
I have spent valuable time “doing” without even being prepared to receive, giving without even being considerate of my own needs, and striving without fostering peace in my heart to celebrate, validate, or acknowledge my effort
When I allowed myself to shed old ways, identities, and beliefs I freed my energy and time up to not just create a life I love but LIVE it
I have fostered a deeper understanding of myself, who I am to me, what I want, and why I’m worthy of wanting it
I’m still learning and I’m certainly not a perfect person but I know what I’ve been through, I know what I’ve accepted and no longer will, I know I have and always will be meant for more and I recognize that one of my greatest gifts is my open heart
I have endured things that could have destroyed me and my perspective but my openness has allowed me to “heal”, grow, and overcome or work through / with these experiences
I truly believe that it is all part of my path and purpose
I know that everything I have been through has given me insight, resilience, and perspective. I have and continue to do so much work to find peace with what has occurred around me, through me, because of me, in spite of me, unexpectedly…you name it
I know the woman I want to be & I know that the woman I am is ever-evolving
Acceptance in authenticity allows you to live in integrity
This comes with the acknowledgement that who you are now isn’t who you were and won’t be who you are becoming but all these parts and versions of you exist to support the inevitability and truth that is change, growth, evolution
Women are powerful. I love being one, knowing them, supporting them
It may not feel natural to accept “womanhood” as it can come with the definitions, standards, & views of others of what that means
But when you shift your energy to embrace the woman you are…there can be more peace & pleasure in the acceptance
Every season you are provided for by a body thats purpose is to support you and keep you alive
No matter how you treat your vessel, she is made to serve you
Fostering gratitude and compassion for your body could encourage more loving behavior to support you in supporting your body
Judgment, shame, comparison…all screams “not enough” and does not evoke an inspired sense of worthiness whereas “thank you body” inspires an energy and commitment to care for your body
Much like when you thank someone in your life, you want them to know how much it truly means so you express it as best you can with presence, warmth, and sometimes a nice returned gesture….
The act of loving your body can look like a nourishing meal, slowing down to breathe, pushing heavier weight, taking a rest, engaging all your senses, giving yourself a massage, wearing clothing that fits…
When I have harder days of embracing physique changes, I always remind myself of the power of gratitude and compassion

What’s something you can be grateful to your body for??
Safyaaa had always struggled in her relationship with food. She had difficulty with controlling her consumption of sweets and would then restrict to punish herself.
Her cheat meals often became cheat days. Because she felt like it was her only chance to eat certain foods, she would eat to the point of pain. Even though she didn't label foods as good or bad it was hard for her to know when she was physically full and she had some foods she saw as triggers or led to fear of binging.
After her show, she ate even though her stomach was hurting. She felt miserable and was ashamed. During her second prep, she was already anticipating what she would eat after her show. She felt her food focus was out of her control and decided to reach out to me to avoid the cycle repeating.
She completed the FREE 8 day program and then went to complete the 5 week Food Relationship Healing & Discovery Program.
With her commitment to the process, willingness to ask questions and try new things, as well as her intentional action taking each day, she has achieved so much of what she wanted for a healthy relationship with food.
She now feels satisfied after her meals and can acknowledge when she is feeling physically full. She no longer has to avoid foods she used to binge on and understands the importance of intention around eating. Safyaa is now empowered to pursue her goals in every season with a new outlook, more trust in herself, and the tools needed to support her through any challenges that may arise.

All or nothing thinking is characterized by a dichotomous view of the world. It often sounds like, 'this/that' 'good/bad' 'perfect/failure'
We can live more productively if we prioritize a life of dialectical thinking whereby we recognize multiple ways of thinking can coexist & support us in our life
The dichotomous thought process can serve a purpose in quick decision making but if it is the automatic pathway you live by, you may subject yourself to challenges in how you perceive yourself, others, actions, outcomes, & life altogether
It is more beneficial to consider all possible perspectives because it can evoke more consideration for every variable & support the use of wise mind when making decisions vs just falling into solely relying on emotion or logic for decision making
When considering your goals, it can be easy to fall into this belief that you are a failure if you don’t do things perfectly or to the level of the highest standard which currently exists
An approach that would be better than expecting to be the best tomorrow would be to set a small goal that you know is more achievable & use this win to build confidence to win again tomorrow
When @healthish sent me this water bottle, I thought about how even drinking h2o can be hard
Forming sustainable habits is easier w/ realistic goals (like time markers on the bottle)
The company promotes pragmatism & balance which means to favor approaching life with flexible application & acceptance that there’s no one way other than that which someone can use purposefully in their life & even then, an open mind is prioritized
All or nothing thinking protects us from the grey area which is scary since its not an absolute which usually give a false sense of control
When aiming to move away from all or nothing thinking, consider: what are other possible approaches?, what evidence do I have that this thought is trustworthy?, how could I restate this thought to be considerate of myself & my circumstances?

You have to look at the most vulnerable parts of yourself in order to even come close to loving yourself fully
The surface level solutions for self love like face masks, bubble baths, a night in, and treating yourself are lovely and can be implemented proactively and as needed
But we must also be willing to go into the depths of our soul & meet our demons with acknowledgement, understanding, and acceptance
It’s painful to see these parts. Especially if rooted in trauma or hurt or relationship to others
Often they reveal to us the things which matter most though…we can see what we value or what we need or what we can better express when we we can pay attention to and respect how we feel when exploring our pain
It’s unconditional self-love. One that says I love myself as I am AND I love myself enough to: treat myself better, pursue what I want, set boundaries, be myself, express my desires and needs, rewrite conditioned beliefs, walk away, embrace, nourish, respect all sides of me
When we sit with our past it can inform our future but when we avoid things which are hard to acknowledge that we ever did, thought, felt, or experienced, we block ourselves from the human gift of insight!
We don’t hold the mirror up to face the darkness and confirm maladaptive beliefs about ourselves that result in more loathing though…we are holding the mirror up to face the darkness & establish that there can be love in spite of it, lessons through it, & a blessing to experience the adventures of life that grant us all permission to
let go of perfection & instead embrace vulnerability as a tool for resilience, failure as a lens to growth, doubt as a path to faith, & comfort in the fact that all we truly are is who we are now and there is no guarantee of our own evolution since we don’t know what tomorrow brings but in our ability to future pace we foster a connection to ourselves that can lend beneficial to our connections with others

If you do not create standards to live by, you’ll either exist according to the standards and expectations of others or you will exist in chaos and experience feelings of being lost, doubtful, confused, stressed, like your spinning your wheels, and probably in constant comparison mode
Standards give you something to aim for which is important for us since people thrive off of striving more than they do off of attainment
If you aim at something meaningless to you, you’re not going to be inspired to hit that mark, if you aim at something meaningful, the aiming and work will feel effortless
But people will hold themselves to perceived standards of others’ lifestyle & values instead of their own which is problematic
This creates a life of “should” instead of choice
I don’t think everything needs to feel easy or be without work and challenge, because where is the growth in that?
But how we choose to challenge ourselves and what we work toward with our energy and effort, is more fulfilling when it is something we see as worthwhile
For example, it may be painful to challenge the way you think by exploring the past or uncomfortable seeing your body change or it’s scary to trust again after being hurt
But when you see the benefit in committing to those things knowing the person you become in doing so or the person you have to be in order to actually execute on the process and you are inspired by the result, then you GO FOR IT despite the pain and out of respect for yourself & your wants!
If we don’t know why we do things or what purpose there is in the execution, then it is more likely to be short lived
But people who drop timelines & are clear in their process & prioritize it above all else, they will have the longevity to succeed & have consistent fulfillment because they’ll be ever evolving and pushing themselves to new levels for their own journey rather than constantly trying to be like someone else or emulate a version of them which they do not believe can exist without extreme suffering or loss
You have to want the work that comes with the desired result & be realistic in the standards you hold yourself to as you progress

Self-love, like any love, is not just about what you say, it’s about what you do, how you make yourself feel, and the way you show up for yourself even when it’s hard or even when everything is so scary dark that going into those parts of you requires a level of unconditional support and compassion which demands of us vulnerability & courage
Self-love can be nourishment, movement, connection, reflection, intention, communication, faith, environment, compassion, exploration, education, respect, consistency, healing…
What comes to mind when you think of self love? Any of these or anything else?⬇️💘
