I believe everyone can benefit from having a coach no matter how much they know, what they do, or their current lifestyle.
When we have the support, motivation, accountability, and knowledge from another source there’s something that keeps us pushing even more.
Investing in a coach of my own saves me time so I can serve my own clients at a high level.
Plus, sometimes we can be too easy or too hard on ourselves which means we won’t get the maximum benefit out of our programming.
Let’s be real, It takes time, energy, and effort to plan and create custom programs which is why I leave it to someone else to do mine while I do my clients.
It’s a nice little circle of life.

Why Your Dream Body is Still in Your Dreams...and How to Bring it into your Reality

Visualize and Commit to your Goals
As I was doing cardio on the treadmill the other day I just kept visualizing myself on stage and hearing my name called to take first over and over and over again.
I was having to keep myself from smiling crazy and getting emotional on the treadmill because of how deeply and powerfully I could feel that moment as though it was happening.
Visualization is such a powerful tool. Look at yourselfIn the mirror and then start changing your scenery using your imagination and your mind and get into the energy of having what you desire or being where you want to be.
You should feel this overwhelming sensation come over you and that’s when you know you’re getting into your visualization process. Since I couldn’t get super into it on the treadmill I kept affirming to myself “Celeste Rains-Turk, nationally qualified bikini competitor...nationally qualified...nationally qualified”.
This helped me to push harder and feel really good in the process. The biggest reward is feeling my head it the pillow at night knowing I gave it my ALL. I couldn’t get over it if I didn’t give my all so I make sure to leave it all in the gym. At this point I barely feel like I’m on ‘prep’ because I️ kept my ‘off’ time workouts intense too.
The only difference is not having some bites of food off my meal plan throughout the day, fitting my macros with something else entirely, enjoying a day of whatever on the weekends or experiencing with fun baking.
Yesterday was Thanksgiving and coach said I could enjoy a meal but not go crazy. I decided that one meal, even one bite, isn’t worth it to me and I am not going to indulge in a refeed unless it’s strategic.
This doesn’t mean I am against the overeating of the holidays and the indulging of all the yummies, trust me I️ love it too, it just means this year I’ve decided to place my goal, my why, and myself above that and focus on being the best I’ve ever been so I️ can do the best I’ve ever done.
Plus, to me it’s about the time spent with the people around the table more than what’s on the table. I’m so grateful I have the power and freedom to make choices that make me feel empowered.

If your daily habits are hurting you then waiting to change something won’t change anything.
You have to make the decision one day that you won’t subject yourself to personal choices that keep you from living a life that you feel empowered by in a body that you feel connected to and comfortable in.
Your soul deserves to love it’s home which means you have to allow your soul to empower your mind to make loving choices for your body through fuel, movement, behavior patterns, wellness, and of course daily thoughts and beliefs.
If you REALLY want to achieve your goals, now is the time to start, because there’s always going to be a reason why you shouldn’t start, commit, or dive all in but no reason why you shouldn’t should EVER out weigh why you SHOULD and why you WANT to. Give that to yourself. Make the decision.

Left picture I was 138.6lbs and the right was me today at 132.9lbs.
I stayed on track through my off season and only gained about 10-13 pounds above stage weight, my measurements are very different this time as I’ve shrunk and grown in the right places.
I have been able to bring my shoulders up in size and keep my legs fairly down in size. The photos show two different but very hard working bodies.
I’m excited to be starting this prep in a much better spot than my last one and I️ know I’m ready to bring an even better aesthetic to the stage.
My goal is to make 2018 my best competitive year (so far) and today is one step closer.
I was looking at the plan from my coach and honestly am not even concerned about it. To preface this, in my ‘off’ time I️ did not take any extra rest days aside from my usual once a week.
I️ did not slack on my diet but I️ allowed for more freedom and fun and mix n matches. I️ never skipped any cardio, sprints, or jump roping. I️ did every set, every rep, and every exercise I️ had to.
I️ basically haven’t stopped ‘prep’ style living so the small changes now will not be as hard for me. I’m recognizing myself for this as that was what hurt me from my very first show.
This time my mindset and my body stayed healthy.
To my surprise, I️ received my plan yesterday and My cardio actually got cut down now with no fasted cardio days and i was doing 3 during ‘off’ time, I get fruit (which I wasn’t having before), and I am so used to the workout style that I know I can push myself even harder.
By creating this new normal for myself from my last prep I am now able to have a much smoother and ‘easier’ prep. I️ can push myself even harder in the gym to reach even higher levels rather than coming off time off and struggling.
Recognize your wins, embrace your struggles, and celebrate growth. You have the power to create a new normal, a new lifestyle, and a new reality for yourself so long as you allow yourself to do so and STAY committed to the reward that comes from doing so. You’ll never regret giving your all or making health a priority. 🤗💪🏻
