![]() What if you could enjoy your food without judging yourself for eating it? I know how you feel, after a show, you can finally indulge & celebrate the end of another incredible prep. You begin tasting all the delicious foods you have said ‘no’ to for months. With all the restriction it feels so good to FINALLY remember what donuts taste like! But then, you promise to get back on your reverse diet by Monday, & when the week rolls around you realize how many yummy options you have been ‘missing out’ on, saying no to, & avoiding. Now you don’t ‘have to’ & find yourself overeating/indulging, eating more cake, participating in the work bagel breakfast, or going out on a date with your besties/bf/husband, finally! You mindlessly sneak into the kitchen, snacking on the goodies you saved for after your show, eating so quickly, hiding from others, & justifying it all in your head; promising to ‘do extra cardio’, ‘skip my next 5 meals that have a carb or fat in them’, ‘hit my macros’, etc. But, it doesn’t stop, even going back to a ‘restriction’ mindset won’t help like it does on prep. Suddenly, there’s no more calendar date to ‘be ready’ for but you know you want to bring your best next season which means you need to build muscle, get healthy, & change your programming slowly. You feel so guilty for all those late night snacks, binge sessions, & eating yourself sick wondering ‘How did this happen?’…You feel like you will never be the best athlete, there’s no way you will become a pro in this sport, & you basically are the worst bikini competitor that ever lived & everyone on social media is perfect but you just plain suck! You see some people eat the burgers, fries, chocolate, & chips without seeming to gain even the slightest amount of fat, or feeling guilty at all. You wish you could do that too, eat without feeling guilty, eat with peace of mind, eat & not feel like you have to punish yourself for it…well, YOU CAN! One of the BIGGEST keys to not feeling guilty after eating (there are many) is rewriting your story about food. What do you need to believe about food in order to have a healthier relationship with it? What new intentions can you set to feel better about eating, enjoying food, or having the chocolate? I encourage you to dive into these questions & LMK what comes up…Stay tuned, tomorrow I’ll be talking about how your relationship w/ food is all a reflection of your relationship w/ yourself, others, & the world. P.S. I have something really cool planned at the end of the week so make sure you check my page each day or turn the post notifications on so you don’t miss this whole post-bikini competition blog series.
