![]() Nothing feels better to me than waking up with a fire in my soul & going to bed with pride as well as excitement for the next day I live a busy life, with many commitments to myself & others, plus I am constantly seeking more ways to serve, show up, & fulfill my values Sometimes that can be overwhelming But by remaining present, I am able to persist because I can tap further into my driving forces and see the reason to keep going! I often ask myself, “What happens if I don’t___” as a way to show myself the absolute importance of doing something Sometimes though, the answer is not so groundbreaking & I realize taking a step back would actually be okay & more beneficial It’s important to me that I do things in a fulfilling way that aligns with the purpose of doing it, otherwise it’s not as meaningful So if something needs to be done but I’m not feeling it, I always remind myself why it matters If it doesn’t NEED to be done right away, then I don’t like to force myself to do it Like sending an email when I’m dead tied would not help the end goal nor would it be a representation of my commitment to my work or the person I want to serve But to that point... . I don’t just post to post or send a message to send it I don’t just go on runs or workout because it’s on my plan I find more MEANING to attribute to the things I do because that’s what drives me to continuously show up for myself The things I do are valuable to me which makes them more important even when I have those moments where I am dragging my feet Often times doing the things I don’t want to do, because I said I would do them, is just as important—to show myself I uphold personal commitments There seems to be a fine line between going through the motions & really being present with something I realize that it’s so often not the things we face, seek, or commit to & feel overwhelm us that are the problem but it’s more so our perspective around them as well as the identity we bring out from within ourselves to go about doing them Do you feel that you’re more motivated or could be more motivated if you attribute more deep rooted meaning to the things you do? Let me know👇🏻💆🏻♀️🧠
