![]() Food is allowed to be more than fuel It can be comforting, memory inducing, moment making, fun, flavorful, nourishing, & energizing But no matter what you’re eating, it is not meant to be used to cope with or fill emotional voids It can be a creative outlet, an experience, and a tool all at once I believe everything we do comes down to our intention and reasoning for doing it If you run from food because you “can’t control yourself” please know that this behavior is coming from the same place as turning to cake or sugar because you “need comfort” The problem is NOT about the cake or sugar or the broccoli or carrots or corn or whatever the food is you’re afraid of or running toward or from The problem lies in the thought process going into & coming out of the act of eating When you understand what drives a behavior and what comes as a result of the behavior, you can better understand the behavior itself (& can change it!!😍) Would you cover a hole in a boat with an old piece of extra wood only to dock and say “that’ll do” and take off in the boat later? NO WAY!
