Katie opens up about her experience in the food relationship healing and discovery coaching program
Before we started working together, Katie had been competing for 2 years. Her competition journey started in 2018 with lots of restriction that led to post-show binging, bulimia, and other mental health related issues which she was able to overcome with a new approach to bodybuilding She still struggled with the all or nothing mindset and really wanted to be able to find a balance in a lifestyle phase without the weight of feeling like a failure for not being in that prep mentality When we started working together we focused on challenging her norms, redefining beliefs she had around food, and really understand her big why Katie shares that this program helped her fall in love with bodybuilding lal over again as it helped her to see she could live life as a bodybuilder without sacrificing her social life and family development When I started working with her, she told me she felt like she had to give up the sport she loved in order to heal her relationship with food and grow a family with her fiancé and soon to be husband I wanted to support her in establishing a healthy relationship with food and achieving her big picture goals but also wanted to be considerate of her love of the sport I am a firm believer that we can have both as long as our intentions, identities, expectations, and standards align in ways that allow us to have it all Katie explains how she is now able to view food as nourishment, how the mealtime rituals in the program supported her in normalizing all foods without good and bad labels, and now feels confident in her relationship with food so much to the point where she can see herself competing again without regressing into old ways She also shares the peace she feels with her body as she goes into her wedding, building a family, and pursuing a lifestyle that includes all her passions Katie says she realized that therapists are amazing people but can be difficult to work with when they don't understand competing or may encourage you to quit before encouraging you to work on the deeper issues. Katie herself is earning her degree in clinical mental health counseling as well and expresses the power of knowing you can talk about what you are going through and you can be understood. I so appreciated working with Katie and know she has been successful in transforming her life because she committed to the process every day, communicated with me about everything, and truly immersed herself into new possibilities Although it can be hard to let go of what we thought we knew, what we have been told, what we believe, or what makes us feel safe and in control--it always pays off when we say YES to facing it and following through on what we know is best for us Helping people with their relationships with food is so fulfilling and seeing amazing growth minded women like Katie come through this experience feeling empowered is unlike anything else! I am ready to support you, if you know it is time to take this next step in your journey and you are ready to make peace with food, your body, and your goals without sacrificing your life passions and ultimate dreams Learn more about the program and apply now here: https://celeste-rainsturk.clickfunnels.com/food-relationship-healing-and-discovery-journal-program-with-celeste
