![]() Some (of the many) mental strengths I believe every competitor would benefit from developing and mastering. I know for some athletes, items on this list come naturally, and for others it could take work. That could be due to personality, impulse control differences, motivational drivers, varying degrees of awareness or emotional health and past experiences etc. It’s never a one size fits all approach in anything because everyone is so different. But I do believe the demands of this sport, for those who want to go far and be in it for the long run, requires mental capacity and conditioning to sustain efforts to continuously strive for more. What else do you think belongs on this list? What, of these, come naturally? What have developed overtime? What do you want to see improve?
