![]() Looking in the mirror and being unhappy with your reflection is tough when you are making moves towards achieving your goals or potentially going through a rough patch or just beginning to learn to love yourself let alone your body. When this happens to me I like to reframe my thoughts to get to a more loving space with my body. I look in the mirror, specifically at the part(s) I am hating on and choose to send these areas of my body love by recognizing all the things that these body parts do for me on a daily basis. For example, you may be hating on your stomach so then you’d acknowledge your tummy for everything it does for you like digest food, or protect your organs with an abdominal wall, or give you the ability to twist and sit and lay down. Or maybe you don’t like your legs and instead of focusing on how they look right now you can focus on all the amazing things they do for you like allow you to stand, rock a baby, go on hikes to see amazing views, the list is endless. When you fill these areas with love, notice how your energy towards your body shifts. This energy will help you to feel more love and inspiration to exercise and fuel your body in ways which will then lead to the shape you desire as a BYPRODUCT of just choosing to LOVE your body! Truly take the time to share the love, feel the love, and EMBODY love for yourself and your body.
