Self-Love Saturday 10/10/2015
This might be hard for some to read or be considered "harsh" or "demanding" or "truth that hurts" but it will only help you if you choose to let it.
So Why is it so hard to love ourselves? I don't mean the part where we embrace everything we are and believe we are awesome and powerful because, well let's get past that, we know we rock. And if you don't know it yet then think about all the reasons why you are the coolest person to spend 24/7 with because, well, you do😉
I'm talking about why it is so hard to love ourselves for the reason that everyone wants us to but hardly anyone really lets us.!
Why is it that someone saying how awesome or great they are is looked down upon yet someone looking down on themselves is ALSO not okay? Of course I am not saying having an ego is okay, I am saying it is okay to be proud of yourself and show it while still working to get better every day!
Having pride is what is going to set you apart, yet you're too afraid to say you're the best or the nicest because of "what others may think".
People who know you will agree with you if you're honest with yourself! People who don't know you will either be interested or be too stuck up or intimidated to get to know you and who's loss is that?? THEIRS! And those people aren't even the people you want to surround yourself with right? You want to surround yourself with go getting, positive, proud, exceptional people, yet you're not willing to make it clear to others that you BELIEVE you are amazing.
You should be able to say to people how awesome you are and how much you believe in yourself. If you want them to believe it, you have to. You should not care about what anyone else thinks as long as YOU have a clear opinion of YOURSELF. You should always make being the best you can be a priority. Earn your pride and embrace yourself. If you can't do that or think that about yourself, no one will, and that's the truth like it or not.
