![]() Anyone else hate those frikkin side by side food comparison photos? To me it perpetuates this belief that food is morally good or bad. And it suggests that one doesn’t have freedom to choose MORE because the ‘obvious choice’ would be to choose less (which we have been conditioned to believe is the ‘right’ choice—to deprive any and all times we can)... Why not just let people eat as they damn well please and instead of trying to convince them to eat a certain way help them learn how to honor and love their bodies so much that every choice they make is fulfilling, empowering, and conducive to their goals? Two things: 1. Influencers should take some responsibility for their posts and what should come of them. ESPECIALLY if they haven’t consciously taken the time to recognize a possible fault in their own relationship with food... 2. If you take advice from posts on influencer feeds then the responsibility/choice is fully on YOU now. Educate yourself, see if they are a reliable source, see if it fits the vision you have for your own lifestyle, and HIRE SOMEONE WHO CAN HELP YOU ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS IN A HEALTHY AND SUSTAINABLE WAY rather than guessing and guinea pigging diet after diet. I’ve been there though...I had a horrible relationship with food and my body. When I hired my first coach in 2012 I didn’t take any responsibility to do further research and So out of self-loathe I restricted and over exercised ALL the time. I wasn’t educated at the time and just followed everything they told me which led me to developing the toxic relationships with myself. If I had known I could achieve my goals with love, with freedom and flexibility to choose for MY body and achieve my goals then I wouldn’t have had to do all the healing I did... ...but I also wouldn’t be the coach I am today so I am FOREVER grateful for these experiences and pains I endured in my life. I also had emotional voids and wounds that needed to be addressed in order for me to get away from feeling I had to CONTROL everything in my life, especially food and exercise. Only when I explored the wounds in my internal world could I then release those showing up in my external/physical reality...then I pursued healing myself with the same practices that I now teach to my clients (and more for them since I am always learning). You CAN: •Have food freedom •Breakdown the barriers between you and food •Tap into and TRUST your intuition •Mend the relationship you have with your body and food. You DO NOT HAVE TO restrict, obsess, or binge anymore... You ARE capable, worthy, and deserving of a DEEPER transformation Everything we do that is rooted in love grows in love.
