. Today is a GREAT day to focus on what makes you YOU and use that as your guide to establish a healthier self-concept! While all of these things in this image can play a role in what we do, who we become, what we accomplish, how we feel, and the way we see ourselves...NONE of it truly defines YOU Self-worth is such a wild concept Most research concludes that basing self-worth on external factors is not conducive to improved mental health It can be so difficult to disconnect from the external world and really look within But the more time you spend with yourself, asking yourself questions, evaluating where your current programming is coming from, your core values, and choosing to focus on what makes you a unique soul in this world, you’ll find it gets easier and easier Much of this doesn’t equate to a number and some weird statement of “I’m worth xyz $” . It’s more about cultivating a deeper sense of self that will help you in boundary setting, relationships, prioritization, communication, and overall life It’s important to strip all of this away and ask ourselves things like what is left, how has this changed me, what is it about me that created these results, where am I really shining in life, what do I really care about without all of this, what am I doing anything for, what type of life do I desire, who do I have to become to be able to equate my worth to more than what I can tangibly experience?
