![]() Good news, there’s a solution to your never ending thoughts of food. Honestly, most people doubt my solution will work until they commit to it. In my food relationship coaching program I provide mindfulness based eating strategies to support clients in getting their relationship with food where they want it while also working to achieve their fitness goals. Many of them are surprised to know that being intentional at EVERY meal time actually reduces their thoughts of food between meals. This can definitely vary for clients in the depths of prep (due to more biological reasons) but for the most part even my girls in prep have been able to reduce thoughts of food with my guidance and their commitment. Why is this important? It’s about helping you focus more, be present with others, put energy into things that matter more, invest time into what needs your attention… All of which is very difficult if you’re distracted by thoughts of food all the time. Plus, if you are in a contest prep, food fixation will set you up for difficulties post-show. Even if you’re not a competitor or in prep, the dieters mentality can be a real pain and taint the life you live. It’s not about saying no to your goals, it’s about creating a perspective and approach to your goals that serves you rather than feels limiting or restrictive.
