![]() This One Question Changed EVERYTHING for My Relationship with Food...⬇️ . “In the grand scheme of it all, what is better? . To have a whole pizza on the weekend along with 3 cookies & a big bowl of chips since I was ‘perfect’ all week?... . Or is it better to have a few bites of things when I actually want them?”🧐 . I determined that I’d rather enjoy a food when I actually want it🤤 . Rather than save up for the weekend & binge on it because I’ve been ‘holding out’ for it.😩 . The more I do this, the less I find myself having this insatiable need or desire for a food; . It’s counterintuitive but the cravings dissipate bc it’s not as glamorous & you allow yourself to enjoy it when you want it 😌 . One cookie 🍪 during the week is better than a mindless rage for 10 on the weekend . A bite of pizza today could save you from 5 slices during your next Netflix marathon🍕 . A few chips could prevent you from getting your head stuck in the bag. . On the flip side, if you did end up binging, the guilt & shame would need to be addressed to reverse this cycle of wanting to purge❌ . Commonly through starvation, over exercise, or bodily methods like vomiting or taking laxatives.❌ . Having a bag of chips/honoring your craving for a few doesn’t make you wrong. . But if you’re looking to avoid BINGING, then I recommend you begin ELIMINATING the intense desire/pleasure built up in your mind over ‘finally’ having the food . Instead, focus on enjoying it for QUALITY instead of QUANTITY bc some days you just really want some damn chocolate. . When we over restrict or repeat to ourselves about how ‘bad’ a food is in an effort to eliminate a craving or desire for it... . We only create more tension between us & the food to the point where if we are presented with it on a ‘day that it’s okay to eat whatever’ we end up going nuts for it. . We must remind ourselves that we have an abundance of choices at all times. . This reminder keeps us from NEEDING to go crazy because it allows us to feel at peace knowing that . We ALWAYS have the option if we want it. . What do you tend to struggle with when it comes to your relationship with food? . Let’s chat about it⬇️❤️⬇️
