When I was a little girl my dad taught me to never be upset by things that were out of my control.
Now? I realize this is a double sided coin...
If we cannot be upset with what we canNOT change, then we can be upset with what we CAN change.
I see this as a call to not only;
Honor your soul and what feels best for you without getting caught up in external problems in which you didn’t create, cannot help or influence a change, and which don’t really impact you aside from the stress created in your own mind,
but also as a way to;
Take responsibility for your life and your choices.
If you are unhappy with things that you have control or influence to change then it is your soul telling you to DO something and change it.
The emotions of being upset will pass once you’ve mustered up the courage and the confidence to actually do something about it...
Journal on or ask yourself these questions today; 1. “What is showing up in my life that is upsetting me? (Even if just a little)”
2. “Is it something I have the power to change?”
2a. IF IT IS NOT: “why does it bother me and what does it reveal about myself?”
2b. IF IT IS: “what can I do to begin generating a change here and what led me to *insert thing you dislike* so I can learn from this and stop attracting it or making it worse?”
I am really looking forward to see who does the inner work necessary to let go of the need to change the things we cannot control or to embrace the responsibility for the things we want to see change.
