![]() Enjoying the food you eat is hands down 1 of the most important factors to longevity in bodybuilding This doesn’t mean every meal or food has to be something extravagant but we can treat every meal extravagantly by connecting it to our needs & goals I know, I know I’ve heard it all too:
*insert all the other thoughts, discussions, or should based mentalities infiltrating the industry for years to convince you to buy into one way or one community* We can take the negative message OR We can choose to take from this that doing what’s best for you & what you enjoy really is the key to success in this sport Look at your Olympians, look at the champs who have won consecutively, look at those who've stopped competing yet still live the lifestyle CONSISTENCY & SELF-AWARENESS are 2 things they have in common They’ve found what works for them, they enjoy it, they know what living the lifestyle means for them, & so they've been able to sustain it or they’ve been comfortable making changes so they could Many of them have their own; approach, views, food beliefs, process for prep & improvement season, & mental outlook on the sport Rather than questioning if you’re doing the “right” thing, focus on if you’re doing the sustainable thing I personally had to shed many of my beliefs around “right” or “wrong” to reach the mental, emotional, & physical alignment I have now When I am challenged by those old thoughts, I remind myself the judgement will exist everywhere but the verdict is in my hands & being influenced by external sources would deem me incompetent of creating my life sentence 😉 Do you feel me on this?
