![]() If you let prep or bodybuilding be an excuse to not addressing your emotional needs, you’re absolutely stunting your ability to learn and therefore be a better athlete. Every time you turn away from something within you that could really use your attention, it builds and builds, and one day, when there’s no prep or show left to distract you…shit hits the fan. You have to give your all to a prep. But imagine how much more you could give if you actually addressed those inner most needs or pains or concerns? If you don’t address these problems, and you claim that bodybuilding took away from your life, consider that you possibly reinforced that truth by letting bodybuilding serve that purpose. Your mental performance enhances your physical performance.
