The Confessions of a Bikini Pro Podcast was established in May of 2018 as the first and only place where IFBB Bikini Pros share their struggles, strategies, stories, insights, and advice in a real, raw, and vulnerable setting. Host, Celeste Rains-Turk, dives into the parts of these professionals' lives that aren't always openly discussed in the public eye or on social media (You know, the stuff we tend to wonder about the most).

The goal of this podcast is to educate, inspire, and remind other competitors, athletes, or the average gym goer that even the most elite professionals face hardships, health problems, mental obstacles, and other adversities.

There are a wide range of topics discussed including, but DEFINITELY NOT limited to; post-show rebound, health complications, eating disorders, mental illnesses, winning mindset, dealing with losses, judges feedback, approaches to the stage, life outside of competing, money, relationships, philosophy, pursuing passions, and SO MUCH MORE!

Judges' Feedback, should you get it?

June 02, 20252 min read

JUDGE FEEDBACK; should you get it?
Some of you asked me what my feedback was after Pittsburgh and to be honest, I didn’t get any

Getting judge feedback is SO IMPORTANT and I would highly recommend never skipping out on the opportunity to get it

Judges are tested, developed, taught, and literally spend more time looking at physiques and comparing against criteria than we can imagine so it’s important to respect their knowledge and time investment

Many of the judges I know genuinely love this sport, competed in it themselves so they get it, and want to see the athletes in it get better!

How cool is that??

But since I knew I was not going to step on stage for the foreseeable future if not ever again, I knew my next focus and that was just on growing everywhere for ME and for my life!

I still love the muscle, balance, shape, symmetry of bikini and intend to continue to push myself in the gym

Getting feedback, if you plan to step on stage again is a must, even if you are not 100% sure when, I think it’s very important

Then keep an eye on video recaps from shows, look at stage photos, go through show placings…

STUDY THE SPORT while you’re away!!

This is also KEY for staying on top of your game. The sharper your eye, the better you’ll be at keeping things real and in perspective for yourself

Along with working with a coach who has an eye for it and stays up to date on everything too of course

What has been some of the most helpful feedback you have received?
For me, it was being told I needed to prioritize balance over everything in bikini.

If I had a lagging upper body in comparison to lower body it was more important to grow that and get balanced and grow everywhere from there than to just focus on growing all around. It was basically a game of catch up but it served me well in bringing my most balanced physique this year
