The Confessions of a Bikini Pro Podcast was established in May of 2018 as the first and only place where IFBB Bikini Pros share their struggles, strategies, stories, insights, and advice in a real, raw, and vulnerable setting. Host, Celeste Rains-Turk, dives into the parts of these professionals' lives that aren't always openly discussed in the public eye or on social media (You know, the stuff we tend to wonder about the most).

The goal of this podcast is to educate, inspire, and remind other competitors, athletes, or the average gym goer that even the most elite professionals face hardships, health problems, mental obstacles, and other adversities.

There are a wide range of topics discussed including, but DEFINITELY NOT limited to; post-show rebound, health complications, eating disorders, mental illnesses, winning mindset, dealing with losses, judges feedback, approaches to the stage, life outside of competing, money, relationships, philosophy, pursuing passions, and SO MUCH MORE!

What they don't tell you about discipline and willpower

November 10, 20252 min read

What they don’t tell you about discipline & will power👇

1) discipline in something you don’t believe has a purpose or benefit to your core values will require much more will power and over time that will will tire out so connect your goals or objectives to your core values to make it easier to show up on a hard day

2) you can train it. Doing something each day or consistently when you think about not doing it can help. Consider when you debate actually making your bed or picking up the trash that just missed the bathroom trashcan that you could come back to later or the days you really don’t want to do your emails you set a timer and execute. This will build your discipline muscle and serve as evidence that you have it

3) putting things off will weaken your discipline and will. The more you put off, the more you are saying “i don’t do things when I say I will or when would be best I just do them when I have no other choice” imagine applying that to key life areas like health, faith, marriage, parenting. Plus, when you leave it to the last minute you’re flooding your nervous system with stress. Some of you believe you function better in these environments but then you’re heightened in physical arousal, struggling to relax, and always feeling like you’re reacting to life. Discipline is easier when you’re proactive

4) building off the last point, when you have a routine to follow, even if small at first, it makes discipline and will power easier because the only will you really need is the will to face the next task or next hour

5) You cannot blame your environment or parents completely. Your parents should have equipped you better but if you know that then you now can take matters into your own hands and start teaching yourself. Should haves and wishes impede on action

If you struggle with discipline or will power in any season and are looking for mentorship to improve and grow personally dm me to learn about 1:1 support I offer or start by applying for the food relationship program: www.celestial.fit/foodfreedom
