The Confessions of a Bikini Pro Podcast was established in May of 2018 as the first and only place where IFBB Bikini Pros share their struggles, strategies, stories, insights, and advice in a real, raw, and vulnerable setting. Host, Celeste Rains-Turk, dives into the parts of these professionals' lives that aren't always openly discussed in the public eye or on social media (You know, the stuff we tend to wonder about the most).

The goal of this podcast is to educate, inspire, and remind other competitors, athletes, or the average gym goer that even the most elite professionals face hardships, health problems, mental obstacles, and other adversities.

There are a wide range of topics discussed including, but DEFINITELY NOT limited to; post-show rebound, health complications, eating disorders, mental illnesses, winning mindset, dealing with losses, judges feedback, approaches to the stage, life outside of competing, money, relationships, philosophy, pursuing passions, and SO MUCH MORE!

Do it Right

April 14, 20252 min read

“A job worth doing is worth doing right”; something my Paternal grandfather used to say to me often that I still think about to this day

I often encourage myself with the thought that if I am investing this time and energy into this sport, am I giving my all?

Usually I am. But often times I find I can push just that little bit more. Add that 2.5 plate, bump the speed up on the treadmill, give a bit more incline, go one more and fail halfway, go to bed earlier to recover just a bit longer…

It’s interesting how often I find there actually is more in the tank. This is not to say I don’t feel proud of the efforts I’ve made but it’s moreso to shine light on how much strength each passing day gives me.

It’s really amazing how much we can progress every day as a result of our habits but how often do we capitalize on that progression and make the most of each new day we commit to showing up again?

When I think about what my Papa would say to me, it reminds me that this is a “job” (task, habit, commitment, hobby) I believe is worth doing and therefore doing it right means doing it at my best and not making excuses or giving half, quarter, or even an 1/8th of effort

Sure my all might look different from one day to the next with consideration for different variables, but I check myself with this thought often

After getting the great feedback I did at my first show of the season, I feel empowered, encouraged, and called to give that extra that I’ve really built and earned through this process. I’m equipped to give more because I’ve been strengthened in each day that I have given more

What does it mean to do a job right in your eyes?
