The Confessions of a Bikini Pro Podcast was established in May of 2018 as the first and only place where IFBB Bikini Pros share their struggles, strategies, stories, insights, and advice in a real, raw, and vulnerable setting. Host, Celeste Rains-Turk, dives into the parts of these professionals' lives that aren't always openly discussed in the public eye or on social media (You know, the stuff we tend to wonder about the most).

The goal of this podcast is to educate, inspire, and remind other competitors, athletes, or the average gym goer that even the most elite professionals face hardships, health problems, mental obstacles, and other adversities.

There are a wide range of topics discussed including, but DEFINITELY NOT limited to; post-show rebound, health complications, eating disorders, mental illnesses, winning mindset, dealing with losses, judges feedback, approaches to the stage, life outside of competing, money, relationships, philosophy, pursuing passions, and SO MUCH MORE!

The Hard Truth

March 23, 20262 min read

In competing, perfection is considered “everything” Perfect body. Perfect macros. Perfect discipline.

But no one talks about this…

You can chase perfection your entire life…and still feel completely misaligned.

...perfection is a moving target

-Lean enough?Not quite

-Conditioned enough? Push more

-Good enough? Almost

-First Place? Do it again

It never ends. And slowly…

Your physique becomes your worth

Your discipline becomes your identity

Your routine becomes your security

But God never asked for perfection. He asked for righteousness.

Perfection = control

Righteousness = surrender

Perfection = exhausting

Righteousness = freeing

Perfection says:

“I need to look & be a certain way to others to be enough.”

Righteousness says:

“I follow Him because I already am enough through Christ when I reflect the fruits of the Spirit.”

Here’s the hard truth..

You can:

Hit every macro

Nail every lift

Bring your best physique ever…and still be out of alignment.

And you can:

Miss the mark

Pivot your plan

Walk away from a season

…and be exactly where God wants you.

The Real Question Isn’t:

“Am I Perfect?”

It’s:

“Am I aligned?”

“Am I obedient?”

“Am I becoming who God is calling me to be or just who the industry and sport rewards?”

Because at the end of the day…

You’re not going to stand before God and explain your physique.

You’re going to stand before Him and account for your heart.

What would change if you stopped asking:

“How can I be more perfect?”…and started asking:

“God, what are You wanting of me in this season?”

Because the most faithful and disciplined thing you can do…

is not to push harder but to pray, surrender, trust, love, and obey
