The Confessions of a Bikini Pro Podcast was established in May of 2018 as the first and only place where IFBB Bikini Pros share their struggles, strategies, stories, insights, and advice in a real, raw, and vulnerable setting. Host, Celeste Rains-Turk, dives into the parts of these professionals' lives that aren't always openly discussed in the public eye or on social media (You know, the stuff we tend to wonder about the most).

The goal of this podcast is to educate, inspire, and remind other competitors, athletes, or the average gym goer that even the most elite professionals face hardships, health problems, mental obstacles, and other adversities.

There are a wide range of topics discussed including, but DEFINITELY NOT limited to; post-show rebound, health complications, eating disorders, mental illnesses, winning mindset, dealing with losses, judges feedback, approaches to the stage, life outside of competing, money, relationships, philosophy, pursuing passions, and SO MUCH MORE!

All show notes, episode time stamps, links, and information can be found on www.celestial.fit/podcast

Make sure to SUBSCRIBE, RATE, AND REVIEW THIS PODCAST if you LOVE it as much as we do so we can continue spreading the message to people globally!

How to Celebrate Post-Show without Food

April 01, 20251 min read

With competition season getting into full swing please swipe through these images to see ways to navigate the topic of post-show meals

This is a reminder that after your show;

You need to recover (you’re an athlete that’s been working very hard)

Your boundaries do matter and your body needs them

Food is not the reward for competing and shouldn’t be used as a celebration of strict dieting but it can be enjoyed and should be enjoyed mindfully with consideration for how your body feels

Don’t be afraid to “indulge” and get into the “I’m just gunna eat my chicken and oats post show so I don’t binge” mindset. Unless you have another show coming up that prevents you from engaging in a post show meal, it is okay, normal, and perfectly fine to enjoy a meal out but do it with intention and consideration for all your body has done for you

For more support with the mental demands of competing and your relationship with food as a competitor visit my website www.celestial.fit to see tons of resources and support options. As a mental health counselor it is such a pleasure to support athletes in their journey to see that they can have peace with food without sacrificing their physique goals
