The Confessions of a Bikini Pro Podcast was established in May of 2018 as the first and only place where IFBB Bikini Pros share their struggles, strategies, stories, insights, and advice in a real, raw, and vulnerable setting. Host, Celeste Rains-Turk, dives into the parts of these professionals' lives that aren't always openly discussed in the public eye or on social media (You know, the stuff we tend to wonder about the most).

The goal of this podcast is to educate, inspire, and remind other competitors, athletes, or the average gym goer that even the most elite professionals face hardships, health problems, mental obstacles, and other adversities.

There are a wide range of topics discussed including, but DEFINITELY NOT limited to; post-show rebound, health complications, eating disorders, mental illnesses, winning mindset, dealing with losses, judges feedback, approaches to the stage, life outside of competing, money, relationships, philosophy, pursuing passions, and SO MUCH MORE!

Soak it all in

December 29, 20252 min read

What do you do right before your heel hits the stage? What’s a mistake you’ve made before going out there?

This year for me my intention was just to soak it all in knowing it would be the last

I would just Let it all go and be in the moment with joy, thank God for allowing me to do this and make it to the stage, and remind myself the work is done and my body knows what to do

The happier and more free I am before I go out there the looser I can be in my routine.

I think a mistake a lot of competitors make is being too obsessive over their routine or their tan makeup hair etc.

I am not saying you shouldn’t care but spending tons of time worrying isn’t the energy you want being displayed on stage when it’s go time.

For me I always wanted to bring a happy, confident, feminine, passionate presence to the stage that represents the spirit of joy & discipline in one.

If I walk off and someone tells me I looked genuinely happy up there then I know I portrayed what I wanted to because this really does make me happy and being on stage is the most present and alive I have ever felt!

I have done shows where I stress before I get out there or try too hard to “get my mind right” that I’ve forgotten all the efforts I have made for months and years on end to bring my best and I discredit it by thinking I had to do do do moremoremoreeee when in reality I just needed to be be be and my efforts would show, effortlessly.

So what’s your take? I’ve asked this question to HUNDREDS of athletes on my podcast, Confessions of a Bikini Pro, and I always love hearing answers!
