Constant body checking is a bit of a red flag in my mind as a mental health professional who helps people make peace with food and their body without sacrificing their physique goals
However, as a competitor myself, I know there are benefits to body checking too
Everything is about intention and execution
If we do not monitor our perception and the reason or even risks to some of these behaviors, we could be setting ourselves up for more pain and difficulty in the long run
I would love to hear what aspects of these dos and don'ts resonate or stick out to you
While there are likely many more I could outline for each, these felt like some really key implementable ones you can consider now
