3 Tips From a Mental Health Professional who Wants the Best for YOU and thinks mental health work is not just meant to be problem talk in an office but it’s meant to GROW you too

As a counselor who works with a broad range of individuals, one thing that’s true for everyone is BUSYNESS

I wish it weren’t the case but it just IS!

Whether it’s busy schedule, mind, or household. We are all in GO mode which, if we don’t make space to reconnect outside of that, we will likely experience a draw towards maladaptive coping (eating, substances, se*ual engagements, procrastination). Not to mention we will also be more likely to experience burnout

My first recommendation is if you’re not already in a spiritual practice of connecting with and knowing God, please know Jesus is the ultimate counselor and healer, turn to him all day every day! He doesn’t care how “pretty” or “refined” your prayers are. You should hear my conversations with him😂🙈

I hope the 3 tips outlined in the infographic offer peace of mind, spirit, and body and that when you start to implement them you find you CAN improve your mental health and make time for yourself even in the small moments

It should stretch you a little bit to start these small actions but that’s how we incur growth

Progressive overload for mental gains I always say ;)
