Food is Life

November 20, 20252 min read

Food is NOT just fuel for your body or your fitness goals but for your life and memories! When I hear someone tell me their ideal relationship with food is one where they only see food as fuel it usually stops me in my tracks. Especially when this is a person with other goals outside of fitness.

While life and celebrations shouldn’t revolve around food, it is sad to think that food that isn’t perfectly weighed, tracked, or measured or has the “best” ingredients gets completely demonized and becomes a fear

I am all for nourishing your body with nutrient rich foods majority of the time. I am also someone who will advocate for the belief that you should be able to have a donut from a box and move on without this urge or pull to have more and more or this immense guilt or shame about it

While the majority of your days, especially as an athlete or someone on a fitness journey, will likely be focused on whole nutrient rich foods that meet your goals for the season; there will be some days that you’ll be presented with other options and want to be able to participate

To be able to have a plate of carrots at a party without weighing them or tracking them is just as freeing as not stressing about the carrot cake

For some people, putting their fears of food ahead of their hope for a future without that fear, is a more worthy endeavor than getting support

If you’re of the latter, and want to get support with your relationship with food and get to a place where you’re nourished FULLY while also able to lock in for your fitness goals or loosen the reigns a little bit in improvement season without going overboard then you’re the perfect fit for my 5 week food relationship program
