Are GLP1s the answer for bingeing?

Are GLP1s the answer for bingeing?

If you are promoting or leaning toward the use of drugs or peptides as the first step for addressing food related issues like binging, overeating, restricting, you are part of the problem

I hate to break it to you but more often than not these perpetual food issues are not going to go away with these interventions alone

It is best to first get support from a mental health professional (preferably one who understands the fit and competition lifestyle—heyyy self plug@celestial_fitwww.celestial.fit for tons of resources)

Getting support with the psychological demands and challenges is going to take you so much further and create a lasting impact

I am not against the use of meds or peptides (peptides I am against if not under proper guidance or when the client says they want to compete naturally as this would take them out of the running for this) and sometimes they can be helpful in facilitating treatment and support

BUT it should not be the first step. Just like I don’t believe cutting out food is the first step to being able to control yourself around it

My philosophies are not just personal experience as a competitor who struggled with binge eating and cycles of restriction but also as a mental health professional who has a passion for helping others#BuildMorethanJustaBody
