You may not agree with this advice but I am a firm believer in this based on my experience

DON’T WAIT UNTIL YOU’RE A PRO TO CONTRIBUTE TO THE INDUSTRY

If I had waited…there’d be no Confessions of a Bikini Pro podcast, no food relationship and post show blues free coaching series or programs, no workshops and live events or speaking engagements, no podcast features, no content on my page about mental health…so much lost impact & connection, NO WAY!😢 

I didn’t wait until I was a pro because being a pro is not what would signify my expertise or trustworthiness

I invested in my education after receiving my bachelors degree in psychology I went on to get my masters in clinical mental health counseling and became a national certified counselor and licensed associate counselor

I am an expert in my field because I have invested more hours and energy than I could conceptualize into learning how to best serve others in making peace with food and their body without sacrificing their fitness and physique goals

I didn’t wait until I had a pro status to make friends, put myself out there, or offer services I KNEW were needed

I know so many people WAITING to serve with their God given gifts, education, and abilities because they don’t think they will be worthy or respected unless they have this title of “Pro”

But isn’t that the problem???

As consumers, we need to be mindful of who we are purchasing support from and as service providers we need to make sure we are holding ourselves to a standard of higher education and service

If someone will only work with you if you’re a pro, that’s THEIR prerogative. But I am telling you, you may be surprised at how many people LOVE what you have to offer even as an amateur in the sport

Imagine hiring a person to do your dental work because they have white, straight teeth but no dental education🤨

Please, really consider why you put more value in a title earned on stage than titles earned off stage

I focused on my craft and it has afforded me so many incredible opportunities to serve & support…BIG thanks to the amazing people in the industry who SAW that!

IMAGINE IF I WAITED!
