Self-Sabotage is often approached through the lens of stopping it in its tracks instead of seen as something that needs proactive intervention
I recently was brought on to the@physique_blueprintcommunity for another masterclass and this time covering self sabotage
Instead of making it an issue of criticism, will power, or discipline or only tackling it from a behavioral lens we really need to consider what’s happening cognitively to lead to these behaviors and that’s where I have found it’s generally rooted in high unfair expectations or limiting beliefs
The cycle goes like this:
1. Unfair expectations
2. Failure to meet expectations
3. Judgment and criticism
4. Convince yourself you need to do better
Then back to number 1 again
If you look at most of the patterns of sabotage in your life I’d encourage you to consider if my theory lines up. It’s not unusual as a mental health professional to consider that there’s more to it than we see on the surface but it’s also important for you to identify those specifics in the cycle and address them
If you’re looking for more support with this I invite you to work with me through my on demand mindset coaching platform or food relationship program all info can be found at: www.celestial.fit linked in my bio@celestial_fit🧠
