Boundaries, Overcoming Trigger Foods, Persistence; Steph K. & Building More than Just a Body

January 26, 20232 min read

The purpose behind my Build More Than Just a Body coaching programs, like the 5 Week Food Relationship Program and 1:1 Ongoing Coaching, is to give each client autonomy in the journey, because everyone needs something different from the process.

(see ways to work with me: www.celestial.fit/work-with-me.html)

Today
I get to speak with Steph K. As she explains what building more than just a body means to her and how she has grown during her time in the community.

Steph explains how she sees herself working on her “internal puzzle”, taking the different pieces of life and putting gin the work to  make them fit in a cohesive and satisfying way. As a personal trainer and nutrition coach, Steph has used what she has learned in the Build More than Just a Body program to improve the work she does with her clients.

We hear how Steph’s experience growing up and the lesson of perseverance she learned form her dad, watching him overcome a traumatic accident and not letting it stop him. She shares about her struggles in relationships after her father’s death, and how the practice of radical acceptance helped her move through past traumas.

Through all of Steph’s hard work and perseverance, Steph is now able to show up for herself daily, trust the process, and work now for her future self. She is more comfortable communicating honestly with her coach and herself.

Steph talks about her struggles with trigger foods, especially peanut butter (I know many people can relate to that!) and how she no longer lets them have power over her. She also shares how she deals with other people’s comments on what she eats and the lifestyle she leads. She doesn’t allow the comments of other to affect her choices.
