Reflection and Prayer

What do you do the night before your show? I know there can feel like a lot going on from checking in with your coach to athlete check ins to the first coat of tan but when do you stop and say to yourself ‘I MADE IT’?

Reflection and prayer is so important to me prior to the competition. 

If I don’t stop to really acknowledge how much God, my loved ones, my coach, and my body supported me through the prep; I feel empty. 

But when I really take the time to relish in all the process has given my life and all that my life has given to the process I feel; empowered, fulfilled, grounded, grateful. 

To bring joy and confidence to the stage I truly believe we need to have joy and confidence within. 

You cannot fake it, act it, or try to model it. It’s an energy to be embodied and radiated.

For me, if I can connect to the little light in me (thanks Jesus), I can “let it shine”. 

How do you bring that light out so others can feel it when your heel hits the stage?

I encourage you to consider, if you haven’t yet, the night before the show as you go to sleep to pray and reflect in gratitude and peace. ❤️🙏🏻
