The purpose of exposing and normalizing all food is not to justify eating whatever you want all the time with no regard for your health… it’s actually to support your health and longevity by making those foods you overeat, binge on, and don’t trust yourself around have less power over you
Using mindfulness based eating practices and having 1:1 support is going to be your best bet
A lot of people will tell you to “just allow everything and stop restricting” but most people in the middle of binging are totally spooked by this idea and also NOT ready yet…
In my 5 week food relationship program we work to establish mindful eating patterns, work through the causes of binging or overeating, manage any compensatory behavior urges with new focus, and work to gain comfort around any and all food, social experiences, free meals, etc…
