Volume eating is glorified in this sport because of the low calories many of us have to go on to get to the required conditioning levels
But this is not a strategy that should be as abused or promoted at the level it so often is
Many people will sacrifice nutrients in exchange for more volume which can impact gut health and even long term satisfaction.
The example I like to use with clients is to consider a slice of regular cheese vs fat free… the regular is way more satiating due to how satisfying and rich it is vs multiple slices of fat free. Especially if savored while being consumed vs scarfed down
That’s not to say NEVER volume eat or try to get more on your plate but do not abuse the greens and low__ options.
