Self sabotage can be so sneaky!

Self sabotage can be so sneaky!

Have you ever seen this cycle play out in your own life?

Whether it’s work or fitness related, this has been a consistent topic coming up with clients and inquiries so I made this graphic to illustrate what I’ve been communicating to clients & them to me about the trap they’ve fallen into

I have found that the tendency to have an all or nothing mentality also stems from having unfair and unrealistic expectations of oneself

I LOVE high achievers and I get it…I’m one too! It’s important to aim HIGH and believe in yourself

However, I often see that people want to be at the next level, but they forgetall of the mini quests, like learning opportunities and insight into your best approach, are important to conquer before “getting there”

Having confidence in your ability to achieve great things is so important, yes!

But it cannot take precedence over learning, reflecting, testing & tweaking, building habits, consistent effort, and a commitment to the process more than the product

If you find yourself in this cycle of self sabotage, it’s important to:

➡️reevaluate your expectations
➡️learn how to understand and validate your emotions so you can learn from these experiences
➡️take the time to reconsider what success would look like in this current season of your life
➡️reflect on what has prevented you from following through on your commitments so you can adjust your objectives And become more equipped and more likely to achieve your goals

I would love to support you in this process

For those of you who want to improve your self-concept, self efficacy, and overall mindset, my background in psychology and clinical mental health counseling allows me to take a unique and educated approach to personal development coaching
