Moments are more meaningful with loved ones

As cliche as it is to say that this is what winning really looks like, it’s the truth. 

I have found that in 10 years of competing, wins are truly sweeter when shared with others. 

It would be impossible for me to say bodybuilding is an individual sport when I see all these people who support me day in and day out. 

God built us to be in community with one another and I couldn’t be more grateful for this community. 

I have a family that loves me and believes in me, a husband who has taken to this sport with no prior knowledge just because he loves me and knows how much I love this, a dad who has been supporting the journey since day 1 telling me I need to grow my upper body before judges even told me I needed to (lol!), family that’s always encouraging me even from a distance, fam and friends who drive distances just to see me for 2 minutes on stage, judges who provide candid caring and constructive feedback, promotors who put on incredible shows and the people working the event who make the experience go so smoothly for all of us as athletes. 

How do you really conceptualize what it feels like to know you are loved regardless of what happens on stage? And to know your impact on the industry is more memorable to most than what you placed?

In 10 years, I’ve placed 1st twice. But I’ve always left the stage feeling oh so loved and supported. Now with my life in total devotion to Christ I feel that even more strongly. 

I’m so grateful and my heart has been bursting. ❤️🌻🙏🏻🧠🫂
