4 Things to Do When you Want to Give Up on Your Goalsđ
1) Take a minute to breathe, pray, and have the space to really sit with that feeling. By the end of that, youâll likely have more clarity or at least be more regulated to come to mindful decisions
2) Evaluate if the goal still aligns or ever aligned with your core values. See how working toward that goal satisfies your life values so you can have more of an internal drive to achieve them/pursue them
3) Identify where the resistance is. Is it fear of successnor failure or fear in general? Is it doubt? Ego? Comparison? Challenging new upper limit? Where is the resistance you feel? How can you encourage yourself that youâre equipped to overcome/face that?
4) Tell yourself to show up one more time as though itâs your last time. When you do this, youâll likely experience much of the fulfillment that comes from the pursuit and being present in it that youâll want to keep going and be more rooted in what matters (the process) and less attached to potential or perceived outcomes
